We highly recommend using this tool to create an audio player that can embed directly on your itch project page, so that people don't need to download your song to listen to it. It's super easy to use, and you can even customize the colors and font! Look HERE to see an example of how it looks.
1). Upload new project and title it however you wish.
2). Set Classification to "other" or "game assets".
3). Set Kind of project to "HTML" if you're using the AudITCH tool, otherwise "downloadable" if you are uploading the audio file only.
4). Export your song from your music program as a .wav, .mp3, or .ogg format. Your cover image can be whatever you want (within rules).
5). If using AudITCH, upload your song and export your embed file. Upload that file to your itch project, then be sure to tick “This file will be played in browser" underneath. Otherwise just upload your audio file.
6). At the very bottom, make sure Visibility & access is set to "Public". You may need to save the draft first and then publish it.
7). Come back to the jam page and "join jam" if you haven't yet, otherwise press "submit your project" and then choose your project and answer the couple questions that are asked. You did it!

NOPE - it's like a jam but just for music! It's a challenge where participants are tasked with creating a song based on a theme that is revealed at the beginning of the event. The participants will be given a short time frame to create the song, in this case you have 48 hours to create your work!
You will receive a special role in the Discord (and bragging rights!). Any teams larger than 2 members must designate two people to receive the role.
Nope, we don't expect you to dedicate your whole weekend to it. 48 hours is just so more people can find the time to participate. If it only takes 30 minutes to finish your song, that's just fine.
Rating is done by the participants, using itchio's five star per category system.
If you need to update your project page before the submission window closes, you can. You cannot update submissions during the voting period. DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE! There are no exceptions for late submissions, including technical difficulties.
Absolutely! It will count as your submission, but you are allowed and encouraged to work with other people.
