A game jam all about creature collecting!
Make a game where players discover, collect, capture, befriend, raise, trade, or study creatures.
Just be careful Nintendo doesn't come for you.
Literally anyone.
Whether you're a seasoned developer or this is your first game jam, you're welcome to participate.
Yes! Teaming up is encouraged. Just remember the more people involved the harder communication is to get things done on time.
This will be announced the second the jam starts.
You'll have to incorporate the theme into your creature collecting game somehow.
- Be friendly and respectful. We're here to have fun and make games.
- Host your game on itch.io. No links to external downloads.
- Use any engine or framework. Godot, Unity, Unreal, GameMaker, or custom engines.
- Premade assets are allowed. You may use assets that you didn't create yourself as long as you have the proper license/permission to use them and provide appropriate credit.
- Your game must be original. Games that were published or worked on prior to the start of the jam are not allowed.
- Follow the itch.io Terms of Service.
- No AI-generated content. This includes AI-generated art, music, sound effects, writing, code, or other game assets.
- No NSFW or offensive content. Keep your submissions appropriate for the jam and its participants.
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT
There will be NO grace period for late submissions.
Once the submission deadline passes, submissions will close.
Do not leave uploading your game until the last minute!
It is strongly recommended that you upload your game early enough to make sure everything works correctly and that your submission is properly configured.
If you run into an issue at the last minute, there may not be enough time to help you fix it before the deadline.
There is a queue of 3 games to rate before choosing your own.
Games will be rated in 6 categories:
How fun and engaging was the game to play?
How well do the game's mechanics work together? Is the game responsive, satisfying, and enjoyable to play?
Does the game bring something interesting or unique to the table?
How well does the game incorporate the jam's theme?
How effective and appealing are the game's graphics and overall visual presentation?
How well do the music and sound effects contribute to the experience?
Each category will be rated separately.
Have fun, make something weird, and most importantly...
