About the Jam
The DevlUp Game Jam is an intercollegiate weekend game jam for all schools, primarily hosted by DevLUp @ FSU. Teams will have two days, starting 6:30 PM on Friday, November 13th and ending 6:30 PM on Sunday, November 15th, to create a fall game based on the more specific theme given at the start of the jam. Afterwards, they'll have until November 23rd to vote on who did the best!
How to join
Join the DevLUp Jams Discord (*Note*: this discord link might be changing due to ownership issues! But we will send out messages in the general channel for more details if that's the case! Sorry for the inconvenience)! The kickoff and theme announcement will be held online in the Discord at 6:00 PM on Friday, November 13th. More details there!
Rules
- At least one of the team members should be a student, recent alumnus, faculty member, or staff member of a university, college, or school. Teams can be across schools or within a single school. Teams can be any size, and developers can participate solo.
- 3rd party assets and asset reuse is allowed. Assets should be free and must not be AI generated. You'll also be asked to provide a list of assets used when submitting.
- You must submit a game to vote. For teams, add your teammates as contributors to your game so they can vote, too.
- Games should not be overly offensive or "jerkish"—racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. will not be tolerated.
- While the voting categories are centered around video games, submissions are not limited to them. Board games, interactive fiction, improv games, interactive art, and more are accepted.
