Let's start 2026 with a fun little competition! A chill little game jam for fun where we all get a chance to let our creativity flow!
This jam's theme is: New beginnings.

It'll be fun to see everyone's take on this theme! The voting will be open for the public, so let's go thought the important bits as dates and such!
- You'll have between the 12 of January to the 26 of January to submit your game.
- The voting will go on from the 27 of January to the 10 of February
It's all in friendly competition. Oh and just to state it here from the start the criteria's we'll be voting on are as follows: Gameplay, Theme and Replayability.

- To make sure we're all on the same footing we'd prefer that the core gameplay logic, the majority of the code, and the fundamental game design must be created during the official jam period.
- You are permitted to use pre-made assets, including: art assets (sprites, textures, 3D models), sound effects and music and general-purpose mechanical assets (e.g., standard camera scripts, utility functions, basic input managers, common particle systems).
- Restricted Assets (The "No Full Frameworks" Rule): You are NOT allowed to use comprehensive, pre-built game frameworks or asset packs that provide a ready-made, functional foundation for a specific game genre (e.g., a "Complete RPG Kit," a "Full Platformer Template," or an "Advanced FPS Controller" that includes complex, pre-written mechanics). The focus is on what you create, not what a template provides.
- Collaborations and solo projects welcome.
- Submitting demos and works-in-progress are fine.
- Submissions should be playable on common desktop platforms (Windows, or WebGL/HTML5 recommended).
- Just to make things clear, if we see entries be in active violation of these rules they may be removed from the rating process. We hope to free more than to fail entries that might be close so if you have any doubts about an asset, or anything like that please get in contact with us before submitting.
Just to sum up the important information again: Your game must be submitted some time in between the 12 of January to the 26 of January the voting will start on the 27 of January and stretch to the 10 of February. The theme is "New beginnings" and the criteria's you'll be voted on are: Gameplay, Theme and Replayability.
We can't wait to see what you create!
