This is a very solid entry for a weekend project, you should be proud

After my loan got down to about 30k I started to have a lot more difficulty finding passengers. It looks like each destination converts a green person to a yellow fare, and maybe there were more passengers at the start of the game than near the end? Either way, it represented an increase in difficulty as the game progressed, which is ideal.

Getting paid as soon as you pick up a passenger makes perfect sense for a real bus driver, but in the context of a game I'd expect to score when I deliver a passenger to their destination.

Either way, I managed to finish it. I wish my loans were this easy to pay off in real life. Good game!

Developer

Hi, thank you so much for your comments, I didn't honestly expect much feedback for this one, if any at all!

I had to tweak the variables a bit to get it balanced well in terms of difficulty spikes. As a result the yellow density starts out quite high but as the loan ticks away their respawn rate slows down, sometimes still a bit too much and it gets quite sparse.

I thought a lot about whether bus fares are acquired on pick up or drop off, in the end I went for the realistic approach, with the thought it might bump the tension when cash is low, i.e. the player needs to desperately make room first before you can gain more fares.

Thanks again!
