Lucky number 7! It's our SEVENTH Annual GDEX Game Jam! Still online, always free to participate, we're excited to give a new group of jammers the chance to test or build their creative skills over a week of jamming fun.

JAMMIN' TIME FRAME: Create your game from Friday September 18th at 6PM ET through Saturday September 27th at 11:59PM ET (Submissions must be in by Saturday September 26th to be featured in the Submission Showcase Stream.)
RULES RULE!
Authentic Jamming Effort Policy: Game projects/submissions must be created for our jam! If you have questions about what constitutes a jam project, just ask! We reserve the right to withdraw submissions that we determine were not created in the spirit of game jamming.
Artificial Intelligence Policy: AI is out in the world, and has already been added to many common professional software tools in differing capacities, making it sometimes hard to completely avoid -- for fairness of competition, disclosure and transparency are key!
The GDEX Game Jam intends to be a place showcasing the efforts of sentient organic life Assets generated by AI are NOT permitted in your final submission project. (Things that are okay: planning/documentation/research purely outside of the game; "work-in-progress" placeholders that are replaced before the final submitted version.) When in doubt, over-explain what you are doing and give us enough time to respond before submissions close.

Organize a team or dive in as a solo jammer or freelancer for our 7th game jam event. Teams and individuals from any country, city, state, or region are encouraged to sign-up. We can’t wait to see what games get created!
KICKOFF LIVE STREAM - September 18th
Join us ONLINE Friday September 18th at 9pm ET for our GDEX Game Jam announcement as part of our GDEX Community Stream live event, and to learn our theme! A link to the video will be posted here after it happens.
Jammers will work remotely while being encouraged to capture screenshots and images of your process throughout the weeklong timeframe. Professional Peer Support will be announced soon.
ENDING CEREMONY LIVE STREAM - September 27th at 3pm ET, we will be streaming our closing ceremonies by playing your games live on Twitch and YouTube (LINK PENDING)
