This game jam was created because there haven't been many jams focused on Halo-inspired and sci-fi projects. The goal is to bring the community together and give creators a place to make something inspired by the universe, its stories, and the feeling of sci-fi adventures.
The Halo community could use more creative projects than ever, so whether you're a game developer, writer, artist, or storyteller, everyone is welcome to participate!
This jam will last four months, allowing developers, storytellers, and other creators to work at their own pace and dedicate as much time to their projects as they feel is right.
Create a sci-fi or Halo-inspired project.
It doesn't have to be a traditional video game, either. This jam is open to different forms of creative projects, including:
Create something that captures the feeling of a Halo era, explores a new story within that kind of universe, or simply takes inspiration from the themes and atmosphere of sci-fi.
There are no limits on which era or style inspires the project. Feel free to explore familiar ideas or create something completely original.
Recreating or expanding on lore-inspired side stories is completely allowed. Feel free to explore events, characters, locations, or ideas inspired by the Halo universe.
Projects containing blood, gore, or other graphic content must be properly labeled so participants know what to expect.
Working together is encouraged! Teams can have 1–7 members.
AI tools and other development tools can be used where appropriate, but please don't flood the jam with AI-generated or fully vibe-coded projects.
Using tools to help with development is completely fine. The important part is that the final project contains original creative work and meaningful effort from the people participating.
