Hi! The Hi Dream Jam is a game jam inspired by dreamcore.

The HDJ (Hi Dream Jam) will give you 2 months to create a beautiful game.

*Dates:

Start - 09/20/2026

End - 11/20/2026

Voting ends - 12/01/2026

*Theme:

The theme will only be revealed on 09/20/2026.

*Rules:

• Only use real images.
• Do not use AI for the cover, sprites, and/or drawings.
• AI may be used as a tool for coding, debugging, writing, and other forms of assistance. However, AI-generated images, sprites, drawings, covers, or other visual assets are not allowed.
• The game must be created during the duration of the jam. (Old games can be reused, but they must be adapted and updated for the jam.)
• Plagiarism or using content without the creator's permission is not allowed.
• Games can only be submitted in HTML.
  
• Games must not contain NSFW content.
• Games must include an age rating. The rating must be clearly visible on the game's submission page.
• Games must include translations in Portuguese(pt-BR) and English.
• Everyone involved in the game must be credited in the description (such as their X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and other social media accounts). 
•  Real images must originate from photographs or other real-world images. Drawings, illustrations, AI-generated images, and digitally created artwork are not considered real images.
• Games that violate the rules may be removed from the jam and/or disqualified from the voting.

*FAQ:

• Can I use any game engine?

Yes! Any game engine is allowed.

• Do the images have to be real?

Yes! The images must be real!

• Can I use images from the internet?

Yes! But make sure you have the creator's permission.

• Can I use AI for coding?

Yes! But only use it as a tool for assistance.

• Can I join a team?

Yes! Teams can have up to 5 people. Make sure to give everyone proper credit.

• Can I edit the photos?

No! You cannot alter the image. This means no drawing or Photoshop edits. You may only resize, crop, or apply color filters.

• Are collages allowed?

Yes! Placing one image on top of another is allowed.

• Which age ratings can I use?

You can use a simple age rating—such as General Audience (Livre), 10+, 12+, 14+, 16+, or 18+—provided it accurately reflects your game's content and does not violate any other rules.

- What happens if my game breaks a rule?
Games that violate the rules may be removed from the jam or disqualified from the voting. The final decision will be made by the jam organizers.

- Can I use music or sound effects from the internet?

Yes! However, you must have permission to use them or they must have a license that allows you to use them. Make sure to credit the creator when required.

Do I have to use the theme?

Yes! The theme will be revealed on 09/20/2026 and must be used in your game.

• Can I update my game after the deadline?

Yes! But don't change too much. Keep it consistent with your original submission.
