Pretty chill game actually, probably because of the music. Also need the difficulty to gradually ramp up, add something like make the character goes faster or obstacle that need to use jump button. But overall, good job!

You have the start of a solid endless runner; physics and speed work well. Definitely needs a challenge ramp or end goal of some sort. But good effort so far.

As a homeless novelite, I approve of this game

A good foundation, I enjoyed just relaxing with it with the chill music and the simple mechanics.

Jam Judge(+1)

This entry feels too barebones and I don't see how it links to the jam theme.

Some improvement suggestions:

- The jam's theme is about running out of time. You could add a countdown timer that adds seconds every time you pick up a coin. If the timer hits zero it's game over.

- The game's difficulty is very easy. Definitely needs a difficulty adjustment as time passes.

- Jumping was never needed as there was always a lane open to just run through. You may need to consider redesigning your spawn logic to force the player to use all their moves.

- Set the audio volume to a more reasonable level and include volume controls.

Seconding some of the other comments, I think a scale in difficulty would do wonders for the game.

I also think it might have been interesting to lean into the theme some by taking the normal gameplay loop and twisting it on its head a bit, where instead of trying to run for as long as you can, you could have tried trying to get as far as you could within a certain amount of time.

I do like that you chose to theme everything around Shiori with the novelite, and the eyes, and even the tile background kinda feels like it fits her too.

It's nice to see you come back to another jam with another Shiori themed entry. Good work!

Not a bad start of a temple run/subway surfer type game. It does need a goal though as it's currently an endless runner with no change in difficulty.

It would be better if the game was a web build rather than needing to download. While there would be a minor drop in quality, a web build would have made the game more accessible.

I tried twice. The first time, the first obstacle was completely impossible to get past. The second time, I played till a score of around 2700 before just stopping.

Besides that, the camera angle feels really awkward for this gameplay.

A nice small game.

I would have liked if the difficulty would increase after some time or if there was a little intro card telling a small story. Even if it were just a text on the Main menu.
