Why should games have all the fun? As game developers we use tools every day, and they should get some visibility too!

Rules

  • Tool must be newly released - no worries if it's your life's work, just as long as it's the first time seeing the light of day, or is launching from a limited testing group to full availability.  Beta => 1.0 would count, 1.0=>2.0 is probably fine.
  • It can't just be an image, sound, or other canned media asset etc. A tool does something. Web only, EXE, whatever. EG It takes input, it gives an output. If the tool is used to make media assets (texture generator, etc) that's fine. Indeed I expect such submissions.
  • It must be game dev relevant, though it could be of broader use beyond that. EG an image editor can be used for anything, not just games. That's fine.  A spreadsheet might conceivably be useful for game development, but it's hardly a core tool.  No spreadsheets!

Not sure if your project qualifies? Convince me.  Everybody does game development  different. My goto tool might be your goto trash tool.
