Write it down. Write it all down with as much stuff as you can. Then I want you to put it into a list. The list can be of roughly any reasonable length. From d4 up to d100.
Then I want you to rank them and stack them into a table.
Then I want you to package them up, and use them in a game or two of Mausritter. See how your players or you if you play solitaire interact with them.
That, is the bare minimum. make a table of your favorite things.

Example table:
| 1 | Holler: A small sheltered mountain valley with a creek at the bottom and high walls on either side. |
| 2 | Cemetery: An entrance to the underworld or dungeon. Abandoned moss covered graves litter a basin and hide pits, wells, or open sepulchers. |
| 3 | Glade: A small, bright, sunlit clearing |
| 4 | Thicket: A dense, darker patch of woods that are difficult to navigate. |
| 5 | Bog: Muddy patches of earth separated by pools of water and mud. Difficult and slow to navigate through. |
| 6 | Frost Hollow: Looks like a deceptive, normal looking dale or basin, it hides a cruel secret. If you see either of these do not sleep in them at night. Cold air fills the gap left by the land at night. The temperatures are so frigid that people have frozen to death in their sleep by the morning. Regardless of the time of year. Do not stay in a basin at night if you suspect it is a frost hollow. Don't tarry. Move on until you find somewhere else to stay. |
