Hello and welcome to the first Narrative-Choice Game Jam! Do you remember Telltale or any of their games? The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, Minecraft Story Mode, etc. Well now's your chance to make your own Narrative-Driven game where the player has choices that affect the story. This is a month long jam, if the deadline proves to be too harsh, it'll be adjusted based on feedback.

RULES:

1. This is not a Novel game jam. The game must be in a similar style to Telltale's games.

2. No AI at all. This is a game made by humans for humans.

3. Choices - The player must be presented with choices that range from changing dialogue to changing the outcome of the story.

4. Teams are allowed and encouraged.

5. No Discord Server - There will not be a Discord Server for this jam.

6. Have Fun :) - This is meant to be a way for you to tell a story and get feedback on it.

Note: You don’t have to make a complete game, one episode or a short story is more than enough.

Questions:

If you have any questions or you are looking for a team, please feel free to use the Community Tab.

Advice:

It’s strongly suggested that you work with a team on this as there’s a lot of work to be done, (Modeling, Story, Animation, Scripts, Voice Acting, etc.).

Rating:

Style - How unique is the style or how well does it work with the story?

Story - How captivating is the story? Does it work well with the choices and gameplay?

Choices - Do the choices actually change anything? Are they well thought out or just lazily added in?

Gameplay/Polish - Is there any gameplay? (Puzzles, Finding Things, QTEs, etc.). Make sure to factor in how the game feels and any bugs.
