Dip Your Toes Game Jam 

Ever wanted to make a game, but never quite knew where to start?

This jam is for beginner game developers, hobbyists, first-time creators, and anyone with a random game idea they want to bring to life. You don't need to be an expert, have a big team, or know exactly what you're doing. If you're learning, experimenting, or just having fun making games, you're in the right place.

What Can You Make?

Pretty much anything! 

• A tiny arcade game
• A weird experimental idea
• A short visual novel
• A puzzle game
• A platformer
• A prototype you've been meaning to finish
• Something completely ridiculous

Hobby projects and random ideas are absolutely welcome. The goal is to make something, learn something, and have fun doing it.

Who Is This For?

Anyone who's dipping their toes into game development.

Whether this is your first game ever or you've made a few small projects already, you're welcome to participate. You can work solo or team up with other participants.

Don't worry about making something polished or professional. A strange little game that barely works is still a game!

Rules

1. Have fun and make something.
2. Keep submissions SFW / no NSFW content.
3. Use assets, code, and tools you're legally allowed to use.
4. Be respectful toward other participants.
5. Beginners are especially encouraged to participate!

There are no expectations of AAA graphics, revolutionary mechanics, or perfectly optimized code. Just make a game.
