Description
My submission contains two tracks: Beyond and Sanctuary.

These tracks were created for a JRPG or an open-world fantasy game. With these compositions, I wanted to explore the idea of what an ethereal, celestial, or mythological world could sound like.

My main inspiration comes from games like Wuthering Waves, especially the Avinoleum area, as well as other games inspired by fictional worlds and ethereal landscapes, such as Sky: Children of the Light, Journey, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The songs are entirely created in logic pro X with free plugins like BBC orchestra, SINE, and logic synths.

I enjoyed this entry a bunch. As I was listening to the first half of track 1, I got reminded of the more atmospheric songs from Skyrim's soundtrack, but the added drumbeat near the middle elevated it into something far more unique. I liked that.

Having used all the free plugins you mentioned, making these somewhat realistic tracks with them is especially impressive. If you can get around to acquiring some paid ones, I'm sure your compositions will shine even more brightly.

Although I liked track 1, I think track 2 is defo my favourite, it sounds like you got a lot more comfortable with your toolset as you went on. The melodies and chord progressions are also bangers, the space-like synth near the middle was fantastic.

Good stuff.

Congratulations for your entry!

This music is very close to what I'd have imagined to hear first considering the theme. Very ancient and epic sounding.

The whole composition feels kinda complex but very easy to listen to. I love how you managed to use dissonances not going towards the root. Every single layer helps bringing a sense of solemnity and hyped everything up. The dynamics are quite spot on. You can easily understand when something's about to change and grow. The themes were quite coherent to each other and you managed to blend them all together very well.

The only downside I'd have to point out though is that both tracks lack a sense of depth, space-wise. I'd at least add some reverb. You can feel this music as such a deep soul but it doesn't sound as majestic as it could.

Very good job, I've enjoyed it all!

hello, thank you for your feedback , i really appreciate it!... and yes, sometimes i'm in trouble with the reverb in my mixes, still struggling with too much or less, i will work on that, thank you!

Overall great work. The mix is balanced. Compositionally, I was waiting for Sanctuary to swell into a sweeping emotional melody right at the midsection, but... it never happened, even at the end. While it works as a whole, it also sounds too safe. Don't be afraid to make bold decisions!

I enjoyed the way Beyond grew and evolved with new instruments. The brass was especially nice as it performed crescendos. The bass and drum hits were nice and the song had a nice emotional vibe.

I think if there was one thing to say, the songs felt too safe if that makes sense. Like a tad too generic. They aren't bad quality, but they don't stand out as songs on their own. Emotional orchestral pieces really need something in them to make them stick out in a crowd. I would say the best part of yours at doing that would be the synth noises that comes in halfway through Sanctuary. Because of those, that is my favorite part of your entry.
