Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes - I think so

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes - I believe so

Summarize your game!
Simple run around, swing your sword, kill the humans, level up - repeat 3 more times for now...

Please explain how your game fits the theme.
As the human population progresses, they expand and take up/destroy all available land. The players home, the last untouched forest, is up for grabs. To defend your home, the player has borrowed power from their deity and in order to progress in power, they have to slay the humans.

You become a force of nature at the cost of your own sanity. You now need to consume hearts.

Did you use Generative AI to make any assets in your game?
Hell TO the !@#&^% **NO**

My biggest issue I had gameplay wise was I feel the harder enemies should drop more hearts, I think that is a fair reward for risking more of your own health trying to defeat them.  My other issue is for some reason I couldn't figure out how to upgrade my stats.  other than  I had a fun time playing!

Aha - yes that is my fault for not explaining it nicely. There are 2 different ways you can pick up a heart. LMB or by consuming it (R). This carries over to the ability upgrade screen. I completely forgot to add UI to show this…so unfortunately people have to be left wondering how many hearts they picked up/how many people are left etc. Sorry about that. But I am glad you enjoyed it otherwise!

Slaughtering a village of pathetic humans in vengeance as the last of my race of lizard people was pretty fun

The only issue is that it’s very easy and light on content. I could’ve gone a few more rounds as the combat was acutally pretty fun. Dodging arrows and sword swings to go in for the kill was simple but engaging.

If I had to critique the graphics it would be that the grass being a flat color with nothing to break it up can make it easy to get lost/disoriented in open areas. A few blades of grass here and there would have helped, doubly so if you could cut them with your sword

Music was great but the quality was weird. It kinda sounded like it was recorded through a phone speaker or something

overall, solid jam entry!

Thank you for the positive feedback, we really appreciate it!

The music was indeed recorded over phone 🤣. It was played on the keyboard at like 2am, a couple of hours before the jam submission was due.

P.S. Great idea to cut them with your sword.
