This is one of Press Start! (our club), jam events, but OPENED to the public for both participating and voting!
The jam will last for 2 weeks. Might be longer then usual jams, but we value your freedom for creating your best games. Remember that finishing earlier is not a crime.
The theme is... Road trip
Theme Can be approached however you want. Participants are welcomed to interpret it freely.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams (gift cards of your choice):

Note: This is the prize for the entire team to share, not per team member. If fewer than 5 Teams submit a valid entry, the standard 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize structure will be voided. Instead the Organizers will award 1st place only.
Full Terms and Conditions are available HERE, below is a quick summary.
1. You must not use generative AI to make art or audio assets for your game or your itch.io page.
2. You can create things like a blank project, a GitHub page or your itch.io profile in advance to save time during the jam.
3. Game build has to be uploaded to itch.io game jam page.
4. Has to be playable using Windows PC using keyboard and mouse.
5. The game can take a maximum 1GB as this is itch.io size limit for submissions.
6. The game should be suitable for a general audience so please avoid strong language, excessive gore, nudity and hateful language or visuals.
7. Participants have to be at least 18 years old or 16 years old with parental written consent.
8. The maximum numbers of participants per team is 5.
9. Late submission will not be considered.
Once the submission time is over, there is a voting period lasting 5 days, during this time everyone is invited to play submitted games and rate them against below listed criteria. Final placements will be determined by a combined score across all six categories.
Creativity: How original and inventive the game is.
Enjoyment: How fun and satisfying it is to play.
Narrative: The quality of the story, worldbuilding.
Art/Graphics: How good does the game look visually?
Music and Sound Design: The quality of the music and sound effects
Theme: How well was the theme added into the game?

What if i dont know how to start?
With brainstorming, writing down anything that goes to mind no matter how lame it might seem is always a solid start.
How do i find team members?

Can I start working on my game before the jam begins?
No, but you can create a GitHub page, itch.io profile and a blank project file in advance to save time during the jam.
Are late entries allowed?
No, we recommend sending game build at least a day before the deadline in case of a bad internet or anything else.
Does my work have to be in English?
Not at all, but it's a common language for majority of people. Let's try to be inclusive.
Can i change my submission during the voting period?
You can change your game page, but you can't change your submitted build. (This includes asking people to play build different from the one that is on game jam page.
