I think my comments are similar to others, definitely neon, not so noir. I thought this might have potential as a way to make a slightly faster-paced XCOM-style game. But I was struggling to see things.
I liked the controls, at least until I had to go into a new room "blindly". A bit tricky to master but I think this have potentials to be a unique game experience.
As for the gameplay, which is a bit limited, i still think it is ok for what it is. Expanded with some exploration and/or a search/destroy mission it can be a really nice little game.
The game absolutely have the cyberpunk and somewhat retro vibe but could be a bit more noir.
All in all a nice effort that IMHO have some potentials for a continuation.
thank you, the character is supposed to walk normally to other rooms but I didn't added that for the scope of the jam, and I have plans to expand the gameplay
Aside from the fact that on the 2D images of the game page the character wears a coat I would never have come to the conclusion that this could be a Noir game. The Cyber part, yes: the colors, the neon, ok.
The movement was strange to me, even experimental. And because the keys did not respect my keyboard layout, it was still more confusing. Moving by this radar - especially when the character or its marker/bot is behind an obstacle - felt a lot like a puzzle. I just did not get into the flow.
For tinkerer, this is surely an interesting method to move through the rooms. For me, it slowed me down enough to give me time to think about what the character is doing here in the first place and why. And then he got shot, in the third room, I guess.
