Nice! Challenging and adrenaline-packed!
Yo dude that was awesome. I played may be only 10 minutes. And only 1 round.
The entire time, I had literal goosebumps all over my body. The tension was absolutely brutal and deeply uncomfortable. I even lost on my very first attempt, getting jumpscared right on the screen. After that, I was on edge the entire time.
The graphics are very simple, but they still get the job done. Once I got a little more used to the game, I started getting better at running away, but the paranoia that this thing could jump out at me from around any corner was eating me alive.
Overall, a great experience. I do think the game could use a more distinctive visual style of its own, maybe something hand-drawn. Still, the gameplay mechanics are classic Slender Man stuff. As old as time itself, but they work like a Swiss watch.
The Evil Vision looks incredibly stylish compared to the normal one. You did an amazing job!
Excellent work. The intro sets the right tone and atmosphere, and the invisible enemy creates a constant sense of paranoia. The monster turned out really frightening. This mechanic also works well with the environment you created. My first encounter with the monster was in an empty corridor where I wasn’t even expecting to run into it.
I made a video of your game! It's at the beginning of this video.
This is fun, I like pacman-esque horror games where you have to collect things in a labyrinth. IT STEALS is one of my favourite indie games, I feel like this has a similar thing going on
Very cool game! Made it to round 2, almost got all spirits before I got caught. The movement is suuuper satisfying, had great fun running around the level. Also the sfx for switching the vision modes was so good. Really satisfying game with great atmosphere.
Creepy game! I was on the edge of my seat whenever I was hunting down the spirits. You have to keep track of the enemies at all times, because if you don't, they could appear out of nowhere and jumpscare you. And you have to conserve your syringes and not use the "monster-vision" mechanic too much, because you're going to be trouble if you do.
I had a hard time getting past the first round because of the huge map layout. Once I managed to get past it in one of my attempts, I accidentally ran into a demon and got a game over. :( I still had a good time playing the game, though.
Thanks for playing! I'm so glad someone said something about the map cause I was actually pretty worried 😭 I'm working on the game right now, so I'll take making the map smaller into consideration or easier to maneuver around.
Love the replay ability of this! aesthetic very nice as well
Loved the vibes, and the sound design was top notch! The first time I played I think I got really unlucky because the monster got me instantly. But other than that, I really enjoyed it!
I spent an eternity on the first level trying to find my last spirit but I enjoyed it! I feel like the spirit collection sounds get annoying after a bit. Great submission!
Thanks for playing! I'm gonna be completely honest the sound also got a bit annoying for me near the end but I forgot to change before time ran out. I'm updating the game now so I'll probably change out sound with a better one, and also make some sort of pointer for spirits to make it easier to find the last few spirits.
Really fun game! Love the 'seeing the monster is a limited resource' mechanic, it makes the relatively simple monster-maze gameplay really quite tense and unnerving. Whenever I lost track of the monster it made me really uneasy, haha. Greak work!!
This is a spooky game! I love the main mechanic of only being able to see the monsters when you blink. It really creates some horrifying moments when you blink and see one approaching, only to blink again and it disappear, and then blink again and it's even closer... man it was scary. Great entry!
A fun vhs-style game! The design of the monster is very creepy...Good balance
Games, really good, a stressful atmosphere with horror. The monster is good but not scary enough, but otherwise a good game.
I really liked the idea, it was very simple and well implemented. The game always kept you on the edge, trying to balance your power while also looking for orbs, the sound design was really on point. The only thing that could be very helpful was maybe a pointer to an orb, because at the end of each round it would be really tense to look for orbs and I had to look through the map multiple times while also avoiding the monsters. Great Job with everything
Thanks for playing! Tbh I did think of adding a tracker but unfortunately I ran out of time by the end. If I continue on with the game that would definitely be my first priority.
Scary
Scary
This is the first submission that made me flinch. I like how surreal the atmosphere is.
Great tension! Having to switch vision modes because you can't see the enemy directly is a really cool mechanic.
I got scared when I died and looked for the monster even knowing he was chasing me for so long haha, the idea is really creepy(in a good way). The gameplay is fun because I was trying hard to get the spirits as fast as I could and it was stressful constantly looking behind me. The art design and UI was really well done. Nice game!
