It's time for freaks and creeps, for jeeps and peeps. A spooky romantic time for all. Come and join us and make a romance game of the eerie, the strange, the abnormal and mysterious. Be it dating a ghost, a friendly bear/fox animatronic, or something that came out of the backrooms. It's time to get your hearts swollen with spooky vibes and make something to make the season of spooks be a bit heart racing too.

Theme: Halloween or spooky

Time Frame:

The jam will last a four week period, there is no voting, just a focus on making games and hopefully finding some friends along the way.

What You Must Do:

• Follow itch.io guidelines, especially if you're making NFSW work. Click the link for more info.
• Games entered need to be free, at least for the jam version so that people past and present can enjoy your game. You can make a separate paid version later if you want.
• Your game must focus on romance; it may have other elements, but Romance should be equal to or greater than any other part.
• Use the theme, how you interpret the theme is up to you, but it should be present in the game somehow.

What You Can Do:

• SFW and NFSW are both allowed, just make sure they're tagged correctly and any warnings that are needed are put in game.
• You can use any game engine, ren'py, godot, ohrrpgce, etc
• No AI art as final assets in game.
• Make a new game, or update an existing game.
• Be weird, make a romance as strange or esoteric as you want, go nuts.

What You Cannot Do:

• No kink shaming, discrimination, or attacking others. Love comes in all kinds of shapes and forms, no need to be rude about stuff.
