Design Statement
The theme track really reminded me of Tunic, and I wanted my game to create that joy of discovery that Tunic does so well.

Adding to the Tunic inspiration, my design philosophy for this game was to respect the player's intelligence and to leave the puzzles very open-ended, so that the solutions would feel like you really earned them!

Thematically the theme song has this hopeful atmosphere with a melancholic undertone, which was the main inspiration for the artistic style and story of Stella.

Game Instructions (launch steps, controls, and gameplay overview)
Launch steps:

it's a web build so just press the button that says 'play'
Alternatively, if you want to download the game, extract the zip file and open 'Stella.exe'

Controls:

Arrow keys to move
Z to jump
X to run
C to interact

Gameplay overview:

It's a puzzle platformer, telling anything else would be a spoiler ;)

Also, a walkthrough was required, but I strongly recommend you don't watch it

Super interesting game! Visuals are great and the puzzle looks very cool, but I did get a little stuck, as far as I can understand you have to configure the runes in a specific way, but I simply do not understand how my inputs affect the glyphs. It seems like every single input seems to do something completely different, the only thing I have roughly figured out is the z and x input... That being said, what I have seen of the game is excellent!

Cute and atmospheric game. The puzzle remind me of obscure flash games I played as a kid.

The visuals are amazing, the controls are good. In my opinion, the run button is not necessary, but that's not a problem at all. I didn't understand the monolith/runes puzzle yet.
