This game jam is about FOG!
Video game fog, specifically.
In this game jam, you have to make a game about fog. Maybe it’s like Silent Hill or Minecraft’s Alphas (above). Maybe Fog is a game mechanic, and you have to clear fog.
Apart from that, it’s pretty open! It can be a casual cozy game or a fast-paced survival horror game!

Q: Does Fog need to play a significant role?
A: No! As long as there’s fog, it’s pretty much fine.
Q: Content age ratings?
A: Please keep it PG-13 at most.
Q: Does it need to be horror:
A: Nope! The Minecraft Alphas weren’t horror- wait actually they kinda were to some people...
Q: Are teams allowed?
A: Yes!
Q: Can you have AI-generated content?
A: Please don’t make an AI-slop game. Other then that, generally fine as long as it’s still your game and not ChatGPT’s.
Q; What platforms/game engines?
A: It has to be downloadable on Windows, although it would make it so much easier if it was web-based, if possible.
Q: How much can we reuse assets or code?
A: As long as it’s a unique game, you can reuse code or assets from your previous games.
Q: Is this game jam beginner-friendly?
A: Yes!

A: Unfortunately not. :(
Q: How long must the game be?
A: It doesn’t really matter as long as there’s at least a bit of content.
Q: How hard must the game be?
A: Not that hard. Don’t make your game Dark Souls: Ultra Mega Brutal Mode to make your tiny game last 10 hours.
