Really good game! You'll have to tell me how you managed to let players type in the game. I've already got hundreds of game ideas haha! Great job!

Glad you enjoyed my little game! It's not too difficult in Godot, I've found 2 different ways of doing it:

- The fast and dirty is with a TextEdit node with the coding functionalities disabled and another TextEdit below it with editing disabled where I put the guiding text.

- The proper way is with a RichTextLabel because you have much greater control over displayed text, color, size, etc. Downside is you have to setup tracking in func _input() for keyboard keys and update the label accordingly. Also have a guard clause that stops the process if the node is not focused.

A very original take on the theme! I really struggled with the typing speed though, my brain kept making mistakes trying to go too fast! I wonder if anyone can actually reach 100% Magic Spread in time. Really nice work!

Developer

There are people reaching 100 words per minute, so it is definitely possible, just really difficult! But I agree, I should've toned down the original settings. Glad you enjoyed my game!

Sweet game! Normally I can type pretty fast but I found this pretty difficult... I think some quill writing sounds as you type could add to it too

Good job!

The game turned out pretty difficult for sure! With each completed poem your time decreases, so a higher starting value would be good!

I love fast typing and I'm a bit biased it seems!

This was a really fun typing game! I tried my best to get the text written 100% before the time ran out but didn't quite get there! Really good way to learn book quotes too, seems like it'd be really good for literature classes!

I recorded the gameplay, your game is from 02:04 - 05:33!

So glad you enjoyed! It did get a bit difficult, I have 100%-ed it, but its a sweat for sure. I think you need around 48 wpm to complete the base first level.
