Welcome to the first Vedant Open Game Jam, hosted by Vedant Game Studios!

Whether you're an experienced developer, a student, or someone making their very first game, everyone is welcome!

There is NO THEME! Build whatever you want, using any game engine, in either 2D or 3D.

Compete for recognition, showcase your creativity, meet fellow developers, and win promotional support from Vedant Game Studios!

• Submissions Close: November 11, 2026, at 00:00 UTC
• Judging Period: November 11–18, 2026
• Results: November 18, 2026, after judging concludes

Developers have exactly 10 days to create their games!

A game may win both its category award and Game of the Jam.

Rewards are cumulative! A Grand Champion who also wins a category award receives both promotional packages.

Certificates and Discord roles will be awarded within 7 days of the results. Reel publication schedules will be coordinated with the winning team leaders.

All prizes are non-monetary. Promotional assistance does not guarantee downloads, sales, or audience reach.

⚖️ JUDGING CRITERIA

Gameplay is our highest priority. We want games that are enjoyable, engaging, and demonstrate thoughtful design.

Overall Execution & Presentation considers attention to detail, successful implementation of ideas, coherent mechanics, and storytelling where applicable.

Technical Quality focuses on stability, performance, compatibility, and bugs.

Marketing does not contribute to the normal judging score. It may be considered only as a final tiebreaker after gameplay, execution, and creativity scores.

Four human judges will evaluate submissions.

Official category winners will be determined using the weighted scoring system.

📜 PARTICIPATION RULES

• Participation is completely free.
• There is no restriction on team size.
• Solo developers and international teams are welcome.
• There is no limit on the number of games a developer or team may submit.
• Every competing game must be newly developed during the jam.
• Pre-existing assets, libraries, plugins, and frameworks are allowed.
• Creating everything from scratch is equally welcome.
• All third-party content must be used under appropriate licences.
• Developers retain full ownership of their games.
• Submitting a game does not grant publishing or distribution rights to Vedant Game Studios.
• Plagiarism, unauthorized copyrighted content, duplicate entries, and fraudulent submissions are prohibited.

Every submission must include at least one working build that the judging panel can access.

Games must be accessible to judges free of charge throughout judging. Participants may commercialize their games after the competition
