What is it? 

Witchcraft Jam is a student-led high school initiative aimed at encouraging programming and STEM skills development across The World through video game creation.

Theme

The official theme for the inaugural edition of Witchcraft Jam will be revealed at the start of the game jam.

Dates 

From October 20th to October 28th, participants will be able to submit their games to the Game Jam. The event will end after this period, and game voting will begin.

Rubric

• Audio Quality: Audio quality must be pristine; every action taking place should be accompanied by a matching sound effect. Stereo panning/effects are a plus.
• Artistic Quality: The game's artistic level, whether in 3D or 2D. This criterion covers all aesthetic elements: visual design, menus, sprites, etc.
• Innovation: How many original concepts the game features (mechanics, enemy behaviors, story, etc.).
• Theme Relevance: How closely the game sticks to the chosen theme and how many elements were designed specifically to fit it.
• Fun (Tentative)
• Halloween Connection: The game should be Halloween-themed to earn full marks in this criterion.

Rules

• Be respectful: Treat others well and maintain a healthy environment for everyone.
• Teams are welcome: You can participate solo or team up with other participants.
• External assets: You may use assets you didn't create as long as they have the appropriate license. Giving credit is not mandatory, but we would love for you to do so to acknowledge the creators' work.
• Zero AI: AI-generated content is strictly prohibited in any part of the project.
• No NSFW: Adult, explicit, or inappropriate content is forbidden.

¿Qué es?

La witchcraft jam es una iniciativa de alumnos de preparatoria donde queremos fomentar la programación y el aprendizaje de habilidades STEM a través de la creación de videojuegos en todo el mundo.

Tema

El tema oficial de la primera edición de witchcraft jam será revelado al inicio de la game jam.

Fechas

 desde el 20 de octubre hasta el 28 de octubre serán las fechas para registrar su juego a la Game Jam. después de esto será el fin del evento y empezará la votación de juegos.

Rubrica

Calidad de audio	La calidad de audio debe ser pristina, cada acción que suceda debe tener un sonido de efecto que lo acompañe que encaje con la acción. Si tiene ruido estéreo, mejor.
Calidad artística	El nivel artístico que tiene el juego, ya sea en 3D o 2D. Éste criterio incluye todo lo estético del juego: diseño visual, menús, sprites, etc…
Innovación	Qué tantos conceptos originales tiene el juego. Mecánicas, comportamientos de enemigos, historia, etc…
Relación al tema	Qué tanto se apegó el juego al tema seleccionado, ¿cuántos elementos fueron desarrollados con la intención de que queden con la temática?
Diversión (tentativo)
Relación a halloween	El juego debería estar relacionado a Halloween para ser calificado con marcas completas en éste criterio.

Reglamento

Sé respetuoso: Trata bien a los demás y mantén un ambiente sano para todos.

Equipos bienvenidos: Puedes participar solo o juntarte con otros participantes para formar equipo.

Assets externos: Puedes usar recursos que no hayas hecho tú mientras tengan la licencia adecuada. No es obligatorio poner créditos, pero nos encantaría que lo hicieras para reconocer el trabajo de los creadores.

Cero inteligencia artificial: No se permite contenido generado por IA en ninguna parte del proyecto.

Nada de NSFW: Prohibido el contenido para adultos, explícito o fuera de lugar

Comunidad

 Por último los invitamos a meterse a la comunidad de la Game Jam para que puedan convivir con otros participantes y también buscar equipo si les falta alguno.
