Beautiful pixel art, and awesome sound design. The death noise sounding like a fart made me laugh more than it should. The gameplay mechanic is really well designed and the levels feel like a proper progression of difficulty. The movement is snappy and forgiving and it was a pleasure to retry what I did wrong because the levels are short and sweet. The visual design is 10/10.

Each level is on a time limit, forcing the player to optimize their run for speed, hence 'speed is key'.

No cookies, but I did eat half a Toblerone and drank a lot of tea.

Awesome retro pixel art, I like how it's not too modern pixel style either. Lovely movements, and great fun ideas. I like especially jumping upside down (BTW upside down jump is down key which is not on the instructions but perhaps should be). It took a bit too much time to complete level 2, I didn't hesitate at all but at least walking or jumping via the roof didn't seem to be fast enough, so I gave up. But I went back and sure it worked in some way. I guess it's a nice puzzle thing then too, but at first it just doesn't feel right. The level start animation feels it's taking a bit too long (while it's still short).
Thank you so much for playing and for the kind words!
And great feedback with regards to the restart time, I didn't notice it myself, but when I saw others play it did feel a bit too long.
Level 2 is pretty unforgiving, and I might have to change some mechanics... after jumping, while upside down, you get a bit of a slowdown, so to complete level 2 you have to run without jumping, which isn't very intuitive.
Thanks again for playing! :D
One of my favorite games from the jam so far! Was confused about "light" but then got it and it works very well. Love the aesthetic and perfect difficulty where I wanted more when it was over lol
I love the concept of hurrying to warm the egg, everything fits together very well. The controls are tight, character animations look great and level design is just awesome, and it gets even better with each level.
It was immediately clear how to play and difficulty was exactly what I wanted. Overall, I enjoyed the game very much.
Good luck with your future projects!
Loved the art style and the game is well polished, the puzzle are very clever especially the last level
Absolutely obsessed, this is so fun and adorable. I would play this for hours lol. The artwork and sound design work so well together, it's so cute and SMOOTH!!! So impressed this is a 3 day project. The level design is great and a really good level of difficulty. Def my fave jam game I've tried so far! Amazing work!!!
Was really nice to play, art was great, sound design 10/10 the splat sound of the dead duck really pissed me off in the most satisfying way. Does not fit theme at all really and makes me think it was not made specifically for this jam. Still great job!
I LOVE this game! The fact that the main character is an adorable bird definitely helps a lot but I also really love the overall presentation/animations. Even the level select and intro/outros are great. Normally I don't enjoy platformers but I managed to beat all 6 levels and had a great time doing it. Nice work!
I got all the levels! What a lovely and fun concept. The duck and her egg are so cute :)
Very funny concept and a unique take for a theme like this! Figuring out the levels was very fun besides 3 which I felt was a little to strict for the 1st balloon. The timer should also only activate once the player moves so they can look at the level without having to retry as soon as they get an idea on how to approach it.
The game is really nice but could use some music and sound effects to give it some juice.
Amazing, best one I've played so far! It took me a while to figure out what to do on level 6, I think that mechanic needs be explained a bit more before that level but the concept is unique and charming, the art is superb and the levels are very well done. Great game all around!
Really nice levels, and you need to be very precise to get it all right! I love the moments in some levels when you get this "oooh, I get it" feeling. I would really love to see (hear rather) some sound effects and/or music. Very nice job!
