Love the simple art style and audio design. A simple concept that would allow for a multitude of puzzles. Great job.

Game Description
A game about solving puzzles with two characters simultaneously.
How does your game tie into the theme?
Using "Light" and "Dark" colors only (exception red as accent) + light"AND"dark was an inspiration to control two characters at once in a light/dark world

ooo yay I love these types of games! The character walking animation is so cute! The button click sound effect is so satisfying. I got a bit frustrated trying to do the precision platforming on level 7 and couldn’t get past it. I think slowing the jump or giving more hang time would be nice so I could focus on the puzzle solving bit of the game rather than trying to make very specific jumps. It took me a while to realize lower power jumps were an option as well.
Visually the game is very pleasing, and the sound effects are fitting. Overall great job!
this is cool. we also made a game with this premise, but as a top-down puzzle instead of a platformer. great color choices
Great Addition to the Jam! Especially with more Puzzles I would definitely wishlist this!
Pros:
- Audio - The combination of the Music with the Sounds were spot on. The little "Bloop" of the characters was adorable.
- Colors - While following the light and theme, I enjoyed that you used something other than stark black and white. Much easier on the eyes. For someone with light sensitivity, I can play this game no problem.
- Controls - Handled well between the left and right characters. Intuitive, and easy to follow.
Critiques:
- Use one of your SFX for your SFX slider (The "Bloop" would be perfect for this - That way players can preview the sound level before even playing.
- Browsers tend to take control of the [ESC] key when in full screen to exit full screen, so you end up having to double tap ESC to pause. Maybe a key binding option?
- More levels please? <3
I think the way the difficulty ramps up in this is outstanding, each level took just a little bit more trial and error than the previous. The sound and art style are very nicely done and I found the platforming to be very satisfying. I hope to see some more puzzles and mechanics in the future!
The art is very stylish and the music fits the theme well. Some of the puzzles were really difficult, and that is a compliment! Very nice for a first jam.
It's a very impressive first game. The presentation is top notch and the puzzles are very challenging. Well done!
Very mind boggling and difficult game. i loved the simple aesthetic of it, the music was nice and the game felt very polished. i couldnt complete it but the games awesome. i definetly see it being in the top 5
Simple, charming and effect presentation, design and execution. Very good in general. One of the few games I finished while rating for the jam. Congratulations :)
Hey this game was great! An awesome interpretation of the theme, and the puzzles were really good, they're challenging because of good design, not because of frustrating mechanics. I love the color choices and UI design, along with the music being implemented really nicely.
Hey! I liked the way you interpreted the light and darkness theme in your game, making it the core of the puzzles 💡
I managed to get to level 9, I'm not sure if there are more, but I found it quite fun!
Once I understood the mechanics of planning where each side should be in relation to the other, to finish the level, the last few went very smoothly.
Congrats on the game, it's a pretty solid entry, and the interface is also very consistent (and I'd say it's the most complete options menu I've seen in the jam so far) 🎉
That is a really fun puzzle game!! The levels were really well thought out. I also really enjoyed the art style and music design. Overall a lot of fun :)
This is pretty neat! super simple yet a very challenging one. The color scheme and the simple art style really complements each other. Cheers!
Nice game! Controlling 2 characters at the same time was a pretty fun challenge, and save from some jumps with low ceilings I think the levels fit the controls quite well.
