Found myself adjusting my towers as the run went on to change up what was effective. I liked the extra golden pieces being introduced later, the variety of tower pieces kept it interesting. Love that as it scales up you can scroll up and down and watch all your towers at work. Great work!

How does your game fit the theme?
A twist on the classic tower defence genre, you build a tower upwards to extend the path and unlock more defence slots as you go. Scale the height of your spire to stay ahead of the scaling enemies and keep SAD-E safe.

Ooooh yeah, baby! That's a cool game!
It's a very pretty polished game for a jam!
Making your badass tower to destroy those pesky... those... So you're making your level and defense in both ways!
Actually, I even would like to see tower to do not just destroy enemies on the road nearby but kill enemies everywhere! Just imagine this massive building destroying all around... Ahhhh... The man can dream!
Great level of polish, and I really liked the lowpoly art. The verticality of the game was very satisfying, I especially liked setting up synergies between the towers piece turret positions and shapes, although I only ever made them by chance and then approved upon them after seeing it working
Pretty great game. Keep at it and you've got a Steam release on your hands.
I definitely will - going to play a lot more jam games this evening after work! (which is unfortunately about 8 hours away right now, but it's something to look forward too!)
Really happy you've enjoyed it enough to come back for seconds! Luna is scaring me - she's almost beaten the current dev high score so I might have to jump in and set the top score if she gets any better :P
The polish on this is impressive! Its of a level that is definitely difficult to achieve in such a short time so well done.
I enjoyed your twist on a tower defense game, building a little tower as enemies scale it. Great! Clever and fun.
My only complaint is I didn't really understand the tactical advantages/disadvantages of the tower pieces. Seemed like it was always best to just pick highest defense, and if they were even just go with tallest. Unless there was one with a special effect, in which case you pick that one.
Well done!
Yeah finding a way to balance all the tower pieces was definitely a challenge. Some of them have more useful positions for turret placements, or opportunities for turret combinations, whereas some of the taller parts don't have entirely "well" placed turret modules (on purpose), but it could definitely be made more evident. Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it <3
This was enjoyable to play for a while and I was anxiously waiting for the next tower upgrade. It did become a bit reptitive towards the end but that is to be expectted when tme is limited for how many towers etc can be made.
I love the idea of the alchemy tower that removes magc resistance. Having a workshop or something that removes tech resistance would be very interesting as well. Also it would be cool to play with the verticality like maybe placing defences that affect lower floors like boiling oil etc.
Well done this was a great game to play, with some tweaks and balancing it could be fantastic.
Glad you enjoyed it, there do tend to be lulls and peaks in the action and whilst we would have loved to add upgrades and new mechanics we ran out of time. ( we wanted a summoner enemy and so on) You'll be happy to hear though there is a "Forge" that does what you mentioned and more ;) I suspect we needed to toggle the rarities a little bit to have them be more common. Thanks for playing though! Appreciate the feedback
Creative, polished, fun and charming! If you expand this with more interesting traps and interlocking mechanisms I could see myself enjoying it for a long time!
Thanks!
We couldn't figure out a quick way to preview the range at the time unfortunately.
The ice tower's aoe effect works really well for rangefinding. We could have put something similar on the other turrets, but didn't quite figure out how to keep the visuals getting too busy. I think with another day or so we would have figured it out!
Oh wow! This is amazing! Please do continue working on this. As it stands right now I'd pay money for this!
This is such a cool concept! Almost hoping this gets expanded into a full thing.
Very good tower defense game. I have no complaints. Everything worked beautifully. Good art and banger music.
Wow, this feels very polished for a 96h game, art style is beautiful, gameplay is great and addictive, nice job ! :)
Very, very cool! Would have loved to see a bit more explanation in game on how some of the turrets worked (I'm still not entirely certain on the range on some of the towers and exactly how the ice and acid turrets worked) and a place to review the types of enemies (little health bars would have been super nice), but this was super fun! Managed to get to 86 on my second attempt!
Glad you enjoyed it, that's a pretty good attempt!
Yeah there were a lot of things last minute we were having to figure out how to communicate to the player and I think tower clarity got lost along the way haha. The ice towers are a constant slow and deal a small amount of Magic DOT and the Acid towers continue to drop on a timer with the bottles exploding on contact with enemies and creating small aura that leaves Magic DOT too. We were worried little health bars might have overcrowded the screen but had considered hovering a target to see their remaining HP.
Thanks for your feedback though, we really appreciate it!
very nice art style! Gameplay mechanic is also fun. Huge potential!
