Super adorable. The puzzle mechanics were satisfying and environments were gorgeous. Any unfairness in the levels or difficulty spikes were happily overcome with the level selection button. Thanks for building this and submitting it!
Love the style and the story haha. And clever game play with the magic!
The art was very cute and I liked the idea of a big bad dragon wanting a small lizard tail! I found the platforming controls a little bit difficult, especially with how tight some of the jumps had to be, and the physics sometimes also felt a little janky. I also wish there wasn't so much backtracking to do after going across a level to press a button or something, since the lizard moved rather slowly, and that also made it really frustrating to lose all progress on a level if you died. The sprites and music were great though!
I have no clue how to move on on level 5, but pretty fun take on this idea. Nice dramatic music
The camera was really weird many times... but this game was neat! I'll remember Boulder Buddy in my heart.
cute sprite work, loved the ending screen. Camera was difficult in some spots, there was a spot in level 3 where I would fall immediately down a spike pit because the camera didn't show it.
Thanks for playing all the way through!
And yeah, we're really sorry that the camera transition in level 3 remained in the final build. One of us changed the camera bounds without playtesting and it got pushed to the repository :(
Great idea! I actually had a similar idea at the beggining of the jam xD
cute graphics and I really appreciate the fact that have a story, good job.
Maybe include a downloadable version because the web version runs slow for me.
Hiya, thanks for playing!
The game does actually have a downloadable Windows version - scroll down on the game page!
Thanks! I managed to fix my issue and play some more, really liked the puzzles, but please, a check point on middle point would be nice as is really easy die accidentally :)
Cute art style, fun puzzles. Music was nice, art was great. I've seen a lot of games do a similar thing, but despite that it's a good submission!
The game is really nice, loved the puzzles! However, I felt like some of the levels could have used a checkpoint or two, especially level 3, since it is really easy to die there
I find the little lizard adorable, and you can see the effort put into creating the assets. The character controller could have been less clunky, but overall, the game is very charming.
Wow, I love the style of this game!
Hi, I just played Wizard Lizard , and I wanted to say that the game is beautiful and really well-made. The level design and sound effects are great. I did feel that the player speed was a bit slow, and I noticed there weren't any checkpoints, which made it challenging. But overall, I really enjoyed the game—keep up the great work!
Good submission, fun platforming and puzzles but there is some slight jank in some levels (wacky hitboxes & weird collision)
+ a Speedrun i did of the game (loud music warning)
I liked the art style. The background in the first level is my favourite. And the story was vary creative. unfortunately I kept falling off in level 3. but for the most part I enjoyed it.
Great level design that really brought out the fun in the scaling mechanic.
Great game! Love the art style and definitely the best execution of this idea I've seen yet.
Very cool, saw a few with this idea. This is one of the best ones! Love the style and music
Very cute art style! I enjoyed the use of game mechanics in your puzzles! Having to redo an entire level after dying felt a little unforgiving though
Thanks!
We'll be working on checkpoints once the jam voting period ends! We didn't have enough time to implement them when we realised we needed them :(
Greetings from the stream! Thank you for participating!
This game is so creative and has such great artwork! I love the interactions of the elements and it feels like a toy box that experiments with mixing mechanics. The player character felt good to play and the levels were very creative! Keep up the great work and I am looking forward to seeing what you do next!
Thanks a lot!
It was really nice watching you play the game! Glad you enjoyed :D
