This reminded me in the best way of being a small child and playing cartoon network flash games! So simple but surprisingly fun and really polished. The sound design is really doing some excellent work here, it's both frantic and really slapstick and the silence when the fuse is out is an excellent touch.

Hah, this was a very stylish game and the introduction cracked me up. She had spares, indeed. Unfortunately my ducks are all very stupid and the great truckening wiped them all out.

This was a visually lush game with a very earnest narrative. I had trouble with the second photo for quite a while, though, and I'm really not sure you needed the picture taking minigame - the ever-looming countdown to grandma's operation haunted the game and was more than sufficient, I think. But wow, man, the final conversation between the two characters was a very deft way to cap off the story. Now, why is someone chopping onions next to me?

Thank you! Haha, those swans had it coming by shooting at me xD

Holy cannoli, this is your first game and your first game jam? This is wildly impressive, it's such a creative concept executed really well! And 60 levels!! My few nitpicks:

  • It tells you to press any key to go to the next level, but also autoadvances, which made me have to restart the level on a few occasions because I used spacebar as my key but the level had already advanced. Kinda on me for using space, though.
  • It took me way too long to understand what the instructions meant by "If you're not on any lit bars, drop" so I was very bewildered by the fact that some levels were solved by having me seemingly arbitrarily be allowed to grab sparks after I should have died, haha.

However, this game was so clever and clean that I played all 60 levels when I definitely should have instead gone to bed. Definitely expecting to see this one make it to the video!

I liked the "go home when you're out of bullets" mechanic combined with the bullets being my health! I got much better at the game when I realized that I should be aggressively pushing forward, but it does make an interesting dichotomy of how much I want to use my bullets to clear a path / facetank attacks vs. saving them for the Count. I rather enjoyed that the birds make an arena for the final showdown and the noises the Count makes before he lands.

The art on this was so cute! I knew the penguins had to be up to something, hiding out all the way in the Antarctic like that! No idea if my rocket distance was good but it seemed pretty far in the end. Really appreciate that there was a button to launch if you got done ahead of time!

♫ chicken chicken chicken chicken goose ♪ <-- That song is going to be stuck in my head all week now. I hope you're happy.

This game was way more fun than it had any right to be! The controls were janky in such a qwop-tastic, intentional way, and I appreciated the way the game always made it possible for me to back-derive my down count if I did lose track. I do wish that the Birds/Items buttons had icons on them, though, and more obvious highlighting when they were selected, since it took me a while to figure out what was going on with those. It also took me a hot second to realize I had to stuff the mattress and not just drop the feathers into the hole. I also had an issue where my mouse would go off the game area and the game would freeze due to losing focus, though that is definitely because I have a second monitor, not really the fault of the game itself.

But overall, it was a surprisingly zen experience to catch birds and steal their down! Also, that background music unironically elevates the whole experience - it's both chill and absolutely jamming.

This is such a fun and creative game, and I'm so impressed by how I can instantly recognize most of the artwork even though it's been simplified into easily reproducible pixel art - which is also an incredibly impressive feat! I also really appreciate that there's a practice mode because I am not great at counting canvas pixels so it's a less pressure-filled environment for me to just enjoy the art. My one nitpick is that I wish there was a little bit of breathing room in between each painting challenge, especially because my first pixel on each subsequent painting would always be whatever my last color was on whatever spot I last filled in.  Otherwise this game is a masterpiece, just like the paintings in it ;) I really hope you'll add more famous paintings into it after the jam!

This was a really creative take on the theme! It was definitely just as frustrating as you probably intended when it turns out I didn't allocate enough time and so my character just stopped dead in the middle of the level. I will say, using z as the jump key and x as winding up did not feel great - muscle memory of either space or up being jump when arrow keys are involved meant I was constantly flubbing my jumps, which given the tight timing required for this game, was a bit of a problem for me. I liked the level names a lot, though!

This is really cute! I did find the pina colada level really frustrating though, since it was so easy to accidentally get one kiwi, especially when some of the timers overlapped with each other. I know you lampshade it in the text but it felt especially bad when I would get halfway through and then realize I'd apparently netted or teleported onto a kiwi ages ago.

But by golly, I finally baked every recipe in the end because it was really cute!

Took a few tries but I made my mom proud by getting 233/240! I straight up didn't find the bathroom on the first run and was very confused how on earth I was supposed to draw a bath without a tub and why the hamster task wasn't checking off! What sort of bathroom has a faucet that turns itself off after like one minute and why do I have 12 hamsters xD

I'm so impressed by the art and the music and the overall feeling of the game! Absolutely nails the "aaaah mom's coming home" frantic rush. Not that I'd know anything about that, of course >.>

The ducks are so cute! I appreciated that you were dodging shots by hitting the right input on the right beat. I played through all four levels because I was determined to protect my cute little duck. Weirdly, level 4 was actually the easiest in a way since I was constantly having to hit a key and it was easier to be in the groove. Really appreciate the metronome in the track because I'm rhythmically challenged otherwise, haha.

This was so cute! Made all the better by having to run off in the middle of playing because my cat found something to play with she wasn't supposed to, haha. Very accurate representation of herding cats. I was super impressed by how replayable the game was despite its simplicity - I was absolutely determined to get all the cat descriptions! I did end up running out of patience before I could get to the high score of 700 - but I was very impressed by the complexity of scoring! I did have some trouble reading some of the controls, which might be a PICO-8 problem. I also found the distance between the "pick up" and "boop" keys a bit challenging but that's on me for not plugging in a controller!

Also, my cat would like to let you know she's very offended you consider butthole to be bad for scoring xD

Alas, I don't have a lot of land, so my garden is mostly containers on a balcony, and I also was super disorganized at the beginning of the year so I started everything late and have gotten exactly one flower so far this year ''>.> So I've been very bad about taking photos this year. I can report that my tomato plants are trying to take over the world with their leaves, though, even if they're being very reticent about actually making fruit so far!

I'm sure your real garden is even more successful! :D (Maybe your gladioli are just waiting for the right type of number in the date?)

What a lovely game! The artwork is gorgeous and the descriptions of each flower were excellent. It took me a hot second to realize what it meant by only some flowers being available on some days, but I blame that on my sleep deprivation haha. Great idea to have the end be taking a screenshot! Though it was slightly alarming at first because the game jolted a bit and then opened my file explorer. Very true to real life gardening as well to have the plants suddenly burst into flower, and for me to have to scrabble to find every available inch of space for each plant. There was clearly a lot of love for plants and numbers alike put into this game!

It's weirdly satisfying to draw and have the drawings become physics objects, though sometimes I wish I had an undo button instead of having to reset the whole thing, haha! I did end up getting to a level where the duck didn't move, but I had fun solving the levels up until then.

Thanks for the explanation! It's so cool that you have a way to detect autoclickers, that didn't even occur to me as a problem but of course it would be one haha

This was deceptively addictive! Tfw I see the numbers on the piles and immediately lose the ability to count. My husband looked over my shoulder and said "oh, you're playing legally distinct Balatro" which I think is high praise indeed. My one nitpick is that I chose to drag the card from my hand onto the piles and sometimes that felt a bit finicky. I also wasn't entirely sure what transparency actually did to a card, though admittedly I only chose it once right before the overclock round. Overall this was really fun and I could easily see myself losing several more hours to this game in the future!

I love the twist on the theme you came up with and the thumbnail is hilarious! Surprisingly frantic trying to keep track of everything I needed to do. I do kind of wish that I could just block the fireball in a pinch because it was a bit frustrating trying to push the count, only to find that he'd bounced off of me in such a way that he crossed the fireball trajectory anyway. But I'm an idiot who kept forgetting that I could dash so maybe I'm just a bad bodyguard!

Same name game buddies haha!

Wow holy shit, this game was incredible! Blew myself up so many times and would do so again in a heartbeat. Someone else mentioned that this was basically a single player Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, and they're spot on. Basically every quality of life thing I could have asked for was there before I could even think of wanting it?? There was something meditative about defusing each bomb despite the time pressure. I took to taking a picture of the clipboard before switching to the bomb for the last two, though, as my sleep-deprived-from-game-jam brain could not write the instructions to my memory. Super impressed as well by the fact that you were able to convey distinct personalities through clipboard notes! I also got a sensible chuckle you invoked the noir genre in the opening monologue, with a little bit of lampshading at how that's not the expected genre for bomb defusal. The only thing I kinda found myself wishing for was some sort of acknowledgment when I defused all ten bombs. But otherwise this actually might be a perfect game!

The puzzles in this game were really fun! The fact that you're using the card abilities to sort them was really cute. I appreciated the feelings the last puzzle inspired in me, haha!

This is a neat concept and the art direction on this game was immaculate! That said, having to sit through so long at the beginning every time I wanted to replay the game was not ideal. Something to allow the player to progress once they know the instructions, instead of having to wait several minutes each time, would have been very helpful! I also found the high variance in goals each day somewhat telling, in that it was a tell for me whenever the goal was very high that something with an exponent was going to come up and I better nail that one. It also felt kind of frustrating when I completed a day with time to spare and then received a bunch of equations that allowed embezzling ludicrous amounts. (I assume that was intended, tbh - it certainly added to the vibes you were going for!)

In short, 10/10 representation of the soul sucking nature of working for a company like AmazingOn. Let me commit tax fraud faster, please!

A simple (kinda, I'm under no illusions that networking is easy) concept executed really, really well! Love that there's a high score table that activated my latent competitiveness like a sleeper agent. Also that there's bonuses, a little message to make sure I know there are alternatives if my wrists can't take it, and enforced breaks. And, of course, that it brings the whole community together towards a common goal! I'm super curious how many times it'll hit 0 over the course of the rating period.

One thing I was wondering - what does the clickprint mean? Maybe I didn't look hard enough but I don't think it was explained anywhere!

ILFFC has way too much health and my chickens are very stupid, but that just makes me want to protecc them more. It was a bit of a frustrating  game with some small bugs (none of them game-breaking, and occasionally even helpful such as when chickens got stuck offscreen and took airstrikes for the team there), but addictively frustrating, haha!

A cute little incremental game/roguelike mashup that was also rather hard! That speed upgrade must feed your duck some steroids, because it suddenly goes so fast, but not getting the speed upgrade meant I often couldn't clear the spikes unless my timing was perfect. I unfortunately ran afoul of the hp bug after finally getting to my first implosion and had to reset the entire game, and didn't have it in me to try getting past the first planet again after that, especially because the randomly spawning spikes were sometimes rather brutally placed. A very charming game other than the difficulty, though!

This was a really fun and addictive game! I'm not certain that the score was resetting properly, though? Skipping an upgrade would reset it to 0, but otherwise the score wouldn't change between rounds. Occasionally if I was doing something as the timer ran out, that plot wouldn't reset between loops, and on one unfortunate occasion, I selected an upgrade without meaning to because my mouse button was down on exactly where the upgrade was when the loop ended.

Going hard into big carrot was a wildly successful strategy, and it's taking all my willpower to stop playing to find more broken combos and go to bed, haha!

5 minutes for a sweater? Nana Loops is a much faster knitter than me ;)

Short and sweet game! One thing of note: I mashed the cross stitch buttons repeatedly when I forgot which key was a loop, and I guess those inputs got saved, so the next cross stitch in that row immediately completed, which was an interesting bug!

Hopefully one day that sheep gets a sweater that actually is its favorite color!

Good birb noises.

This was a neat puzzle game that really captures the feeling of being in a time loop, doing things by rote and knowing exactly where to go by the end. I absolutely hated the floor puzzle level, and yet by the end I had basically memorized the path. Very Edge of Tomorrow/All You Need is Kill vibes. I was rather displeased to find that I needed to find the orbs at the end, especially given that there's no visual indication you've found an orb once you pick it up, which meant having to rely on the audio cue to tell me if I found it sometimes since it was very easy to immediately walk over it and pick it up without actually seeing it.

But by my indomitable will, I broke the curse. Be free, little crow!

The art in this game is really lovely! I really liked the idea as well, but the execution ended up being kind of frustrating for me - I could never get past level 2. I suspect part of it is just that I'm not terribly good at this sort of game, but I was absolutely terrible at lining up the laser properly, and also could never quite place the bomb in the correct spot. I really wish there was some telegraphing of when your moves from the previous loop are about to go, though, since I was basically always dodging the enemies or something such that my laser/bomb placement from the last time ended up being useless, and then with the wasted moves, I no longer have enough damage to clear the levels. The bullets from the previous timeline also ended up basically always being useless, so the lock to only 4 shots felt especially brutal.

I will fully admit that a lot of these issues are likely because I'm not great at this genre of game to begin with, and probably could be more strategic about how I play. It's a really interesting concept that I hope you keep playing with after the jam, and I really, really liked the art direction you chose and how it was a tribute to a specific artist!

Took me a while to figure out what I was doing, but once I did, it was fun! Unfortunately the game ended with me getting soft locked by lassoing a pig that immediately looped the rope around its front, and then refusing to do anything other than run in a circle in the wrong direction. I also had a lot of trouble with depth perception at first.

Yeeting the animals into the sun was very satisfying, though!

The art is really cute! I had a lot of trouble with getting my conveyer belts to actually draw, though, and there were a lot of instances where a customer just refused to pick up the food that passed in front of them? And it felt incredibly easy to soft lock myself as well. I also encountered an interesting bug where the saw encountered a large group of sushi and the game ended repeatedly, presumably because the sushi conveyer belt didn't stop running even though the game had ended, causing the heart count to go down and trigger the game end again.

Overall, it was a very cute concept that just needed some more polish!

Ah, thanks for the tips! And many apologies about the sound - it turns out my headphones had stealth turned itself off, so it definitely wasn't a problem on your end!

This was an incredibly polished, complete game - I'm in awe that you managed to do it all in such a short time! It took me a hot second to figure out what to do, and also that I had the option to progress to the next loop early if I wanted to. Literally the only thing that I can think of that would improve the experience is for a win screen. Also, while the voice acting was a great touch, I did find it somewhat jarring that the lines played when the characters died, and only when they died, it seemed.

But my goodness I'm just absolutely amazed at the overall quality of the game!

This was an incredibly cute game with beautiful art! I also liked how you gave all the animals personality, with the chickens being skittish, the goats being jerks (both literally and figuratively!) and the cows just not caring whatsoever, haha. I did find it a bit difficult, as your movement is so incredibly zippy, and the red bar placement sometimes felt a bit awkward to reference because I was very much looking elsewhere in order to draw the loop.

Also, I don't know if the problem was on my end because I see you have audio assets credited, but I don't think my game had sound?

That opening cutscene was incredible, haha!

Migration is a great take on the loop theme. I'm not biased at all just because I love birds ;) I had a lot of trouble wrapping my mind around the diagonal alerts, though, and I don't know if I just wasn't skilled enough, but sometimes it felt like the timings between the alert signs and the danger actually showing up was inconsistent.

Absolutely loved the individual descriptions of the geese as well, it really made me want to cherish and protect them. Alas, I was not a very good guide. I had fun trying, though!

Stumbled upon this while looking for bird games from this jam. That is one expressive goose, and it is not having a good day :(

Final score: 17:20

This game was very satisfying once I got going. I thought I'd stumbled upon some incredibly busted combo, but looking at your gif, it looks like that's very much gameplay as intended. After a while it did get to the point where it felt like there wasn't really enough to actually do between upgrades, though pumping "w" while watching a birds' nest of lines cover my screen was very zen. It didn't look like any aliens were getting through, but I guess they were, as my health bar did slowly drain at the end. I wasn't sure what circumstances caused the sudden slowdown of the train, but I was able to circumvent it by pumping the engine instead of holding it down.

I know game jam constraints are what they are, but I'd love to see this game get revisited to have more content, so that it doesn't feel quite as repetitive at the end. On the other hand I drove in circles for 17 minutes, so.......

This game was such a fun twist on the incremental game genre! The artwork was incredibly charming, and I loved the chicken puns. I spent so much longer than I intended playing this game because I just wanted more chickens, always. It did take me a little while to figure out how everything worked at the beginning, though.

A few small things that did affect my enjoyment somewhat: It was a bit annoying that I could accidentally have roosters do nothing since they cluck by default. (Hillarious, though!) Also, once I filled up my lines with for loops, I couldn't switch or rearrange them without selling one, because they can't be dragged on top of each other. Part of me did also wish there was some way to more fully automate, though I'm not sure how that could actually be accomplished.

Overall, a really enjoyable game that fully stole two hours of sleep from me because I didn't want to stop playing, haha!
