Judge feedback

Judge feedback is anonymous.

  • Nice music and atmosphere, fitting well with the overall theme and design. Movement felt deliberately sluggish, reinforcing the feeling of being part of a machine, though it did take some time to adjust to. I had some difficulty finding clear indicators for the lava pits, which made navigation a bit challenging at times. Your GDD is well-structured and clearly thought out, providing a solid understanding of the game’s mechanics and vision. Overall, this was an interesting and atmospheric submission with good potential for further development. Keep up the great work!

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarise your game!
Play as an AI system with the prime objective to detonate a bomb. To detonate, you must connect nodes using probes to explore the surroundings. There will be hazards such as rocks, lava, and the mess of cables you leave behind.

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
You are an AI connected to a computer system on a bomb.

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
Game mechanics such as moving the probes and connecting nodes. I was trying to get them to feel comfortable and intuitive.

Very nice and chill game. The heart animation is rad when it explodes also love the SFX with it lol

Nice cozy game. The pace is a bit too slow for me. I like the mood and it was great too have an ending scene.

I liked the vibe of the game, the graphics reminded me a bit of Dome Keeper. I had some struggle to understand what I was supposed to do at first

This is really neat! I tried twice and didn't complete it, not sure if my monitor's brightness is too low or if I'm not supposed to be able to see the nodes till I'm right next to them, but I had fun. The atmosphere is really good.

It was a little bit hard to figure out what to do at first, but i figured it out. I really the theme of exploration. Feels like you need one more core mechanic. Really nice job tho, love the art on the heart!
