Game's Take on the Theme
The player has to connect a series of dots in a closed circle, in a sort of loop/spin. Additionally, the bosses are an Evangelion spin on Talamancan mythology.
Did your team make the majority of the art and music during the jam?
Yes, all of it

Took me a while to understand the gameplay at first but after you understand it you will find that this game is actually amazing. I like the narrative and the atmosphere. the music and the sounds also complement the game very well. The mechanism is also very unique in this jam. Congratulations!
I have just one word: insane. It's absolutely insane how you managed to make a game like this, so complete and polished, in a month. And it's not even short of mechanics and bosses: every one of them had its own unique ones, with attacks that changed the more you damaged it, making you need to adapt. I had so much fun defeating each one, it truly felt like a strategic experience of where to position yourself to get the best result, instead of just "shoot and dodge".
The graphics and ambience are just on point, just one minute and I was completely immersed in the game. Also, I'm quite a fan of "analog horror" media, the atmosphere reminded me a bit of those and I think this would go hard for other fans of the genre.
I also liked the story a lot, because I love it when an author tries to express something with their game, and ohh boy if there was something to be told. I already like kaiju, giant meat monsters and horror a lot, but I genuinely didn't expect it to go in the direction it took. I think the theme was a very, VERY bold one, expecially for current times, and I appreciate that a lot.
Overall: I will await for the sequel. Incredible job.
Just one thing: at the very start, I couldn't figure out how the game worked, because I fixated on the "enclosed" part of the sigil I needed to make, trying to figure out how a 2 point shape was an enclosed one and even if I was just looking in the wrong spot. I think in this case, a 3 points sigil as the first one would've been easier to understand, but that's just my opinion.
Thanks for the feedback! You are spot-on about the analog horror bit, Midwest Angelica was the main inspiration for this besides Evangelion. The "enemy Peón BANISHED" is actually reference to the "Starkill threat OBLITERATED" in that series.
As for future content, there won't be a sequel, but there's going to be a post-jam update and I have a few ideas for a Steam version with a few new bosses and a continuation of the story after the Blackout League's formation.
Very strange game, the art is good and weird but i did not really get the gameplay much , I might need give it another go so can get the hang of it, it feel like game i would like to learn more of as it has intersting style
really fun and unique with some really nice difficulty near the end.
I figured out how to play by matching the sequences, turned out fun, then found out the base of the player was only affected by projectiles and it made it much easier. Interesting simple game design, congrats on submission. Feel free to try our game if you like!
Very interesting twist of "Spin" theme ! It was a bit long to handle the game, but after that it was cool, with a nice atmosphere ! Also, i can't figuring out did you made a CTR shader or just a handmade old CTR style ??
Thanks for the feedback! About the shader, all I did was make the scanline effect. Everything else was done by editing stock images in GIMP.
The art and mechanics are great! The music is also nice so well done!
At first I did not really get what I was supposed to do, - like 1-2 minutes - but after that, the game became strangely addictive, the combination of themes and art created an eerie vibe that was quite unique. Great work!
Really like the visuals and gameplay! The idea going on here is really cool and I'd love to see more like this in the future!
(PS: If you're willing to I'd love it if you could rate and give me some feedback on my game! I'd really love to see where I can improve for the future!)
I really like the visuals, the sci fi air is nice, also the intro adds depth to the game, I think all is well made, the mechanics are a bit hard at the beginning but later its good, I rate graphics, fun, control and music on top, but all is nice, also, if you have time, please, rate my game, too, thanks!!!
I loved the concept. Great job. I had a lot of fun playing this game.
Interesting concept! A bit difficult at first, but I enjoyed playing it. GG! ❤
Very cool concept, I like the narrative details, although it's a bit too spooky for me lol. I had fun writing sigils and it wasn't too hard once I figured out what I needed to do. I think I ran into a bug with the second boss. The game sorta just halted after I finished the final sigil and I couldn't continue. Other than that this great overall. Great Job.
Really interesting game! It's probably one of the most unique of the jam. The art is really cool
First off, I played the Webbuild and I really like the atmosphere you building up with the intro and visuals. I felt a little like in a monster/horror movie, which is great!
Then I joined the first boss fight and man was I confused. I saw the pattern I had to place while evading the red little dudes, but I was thinking that I have to catch the little red dudes with my drawn symbol.. it took me two rounds to finally understand, that I have to draw the symbol and move the tip of the Tower on to the first symbol and hit the drawing key to actually hurt the boss. It was kind of a struggle to understand that, maybe I over read something in your tutorial, if so I feel stupid.. but if not it would be less frustrating if you put a little instruction or small tutorial/animation into it :)
But after understanding the mechanics it felt great and also kinda frantic as one has to move / evade a lot. It is a really atmospheric “puzzle” game and I can see it being explored more in depth. When steam ;)?
PS: Having a menu is also great and gives the game a more complete feeling.
Job well done!
Thanks for the review!
Yeah, the "going back to the first sigil" mechanic is kinda weird. I only added because I thought "the bosses are an Evangelion spin on native Costa Rican myths" wasn't close enough to the jam's "spin" theme. I actually have a few ideas for a Steam version once the voting period is over, and one of the changes would be the removal of the "first point" mechanic, alongside more bosses and alternate color palettes.
Interesting concept! Controls were a bit odd, would have preferred Q/E instead of Z/X, and it's not immediately clear that the top of the ship is your "pen" and the bottom is your hurtbox, but once I got all that understood, I enjoyed it. Great atmosphere and art style. Got to the second boss, so not very far, but what I played was fun!
The story was really well put together and the visuals well made. The line effect on the whole screen made it a little hard to play longer, but it was fun!
good game i liked the art style
New Review:
okay, after figuring out what I was supposed to do, it turns out to be a puzzle game where you have to avoid getting hurt and follow a pattern on the grid, which was rather fun and managed to get through three bosses,
now I see it being a good game and very well designed. sorry if I said anything bad about it. just a little confused because the controls were in the cutscenes, which people might accidently skip. so having the controls solely on a skippable cutscene might not be a good idea, just at least have them somewhere where they can be easily accessed.
