Thanks for the kind words! I have the demo almost finished, I'm planning to have it tested during September and save its release for October to take advantage of Halloween and the Steam Fest.

I'm torn on the way the actions are executed, it's really confusing at first, but once you realize you control an "afterimage" (beforeimage?) or the cat and everything it's executed after the countdown it becomes really satisfying.
Another nitpick I have is that the cat noises can get a bit annoying on the levels with multiple enemies.
"FEED THE MACHINE" is an excellent manual for techno-entrepreneurs to learn all the basics about running an AI startup. Despite its simple graphics and gameplay, the game perfectly encapsulates the core message: ethics are irrelevant, the only thing that matters is achieving Growth™ and Innovation™.
The idea is really good and I like how there's multiple takes on it across the levels, but I found the controls a bit annoying. Having to keep pressing the arrow/WASD buttons repeatedly gets pretty tiring since the mazes are rather big, it would have been a lot more comfortable if you could held them down.
Good to know you enjoyed it since the Godot fork I used gave me multiple issues during development... and then the Godot team themselves announced they would ban AI the same day I finished the game.
Thanks for the kind words.
I agree with the combat system, at first I thought it was a complete mess but I ended up liking it. There was going to be another mechanic with it in the form on an attack that would mess with the mouse cursor's position mid-countdown, but I scrapped since I thought it would be more annoying than interesting.
Honestly, it ended up being kinda messy since I challenged myself to only use open-source tools that forbid using genAI for contributions, and I wasn't familiar with them so I had to do a learning speedrun while making the game.
...and then the Godot Foundation announced that they would adopt stricter policies on AI in the same day I finished the game.
