Game's Take on the Theme
The bosses get a random buff during the fight, which is chosen by a spin of a roulette. The game is also Casino-Themed with one of the bosses being a Slot machine which chooses attacks by spinning

Your game is beautiful! The art is perfect, the idea of using playing cards to signal life was really good! I only found the character's movement control complex, it took me a while to get used to it but it was still a bit confusing for my coordination, the attacks are also very constant, I couldn't hit the boss without taking damage. Apart from these two factors, the experience was great and even with no coordination I still had a lot of fun! Congratulations on your game!
I tried for 15 minutes and barely managed to get past 50% of the first boss. I could hardly even see the game's roulette. I had a lot of trouble dodging the first boss's dash attack because it's so fast and leaves little time to react, especially at close range. On top of that, I took a lot of damage trying to hit the boss, the attack range is really short, so I kept bumping into the boss, and again, I had to get close, which meant getting hit by the dash attack. That said, I really liked the art, it looks great, and the sound design and music are awesome too!
The art style, bosses, and music are great! I just wish I could rebind the controls. But overall, you did a great job. GG! ❤
The game looks great and I dig the sprite work here a lot. Wasn't able to get past the first boss after a handful of deaths, which maybe is intentional but I found the learning curve a bit steep. Still great use of theme with a complementary aesthetic.
I liked how everything in the game involves gambling, even the TITLE SCREEN.
One of the more polished games I played this jam. I love how everything down to the main menu and even the player's health is themed around a casino, with your health being represented by cards of hearts. thats a REALLY nice touch! The game was also very satisfying to play. The only bit of feedback I have is to maybe make the player's hit range a bit further than like 2 inches away from him lol. Makes it really hard to get away from the boss and avoid an attack. But besides that nitpick this was very fun. Well done!
You did a great job with the art and sounds it all fits well together. Controls were a little tricky but a little practice helped. It was fun to play!
Had a hard time getting used to the controls. I think space being jump is ingrained in my soul and its hard to get used to z being jump. I like the aesthetic of the game and I think the idea is nice. I wish either the first boss had way less health or we had a tutorial section.
fun game with a cool art style that fits together really well with all the bosses and abilities they have! i do wish the dash ability let's you get i-frames for invincibility or something while dashing to help avoid some of the abilities, or a variety of attacks for the player character would be cool to see! would love to see this game expanded upon further!
