I enjoyed this overall. The shopping as a combat mechanic is interesting. I would have liked the items to have descriptions. Other suggestions for improvement would be being able to attack in all directions, some type of map, and some more sound effects. I would also add a little more visual and audio feedback when Navi is touching those sprites (or whatever they are). It wasn't obvious that that was accomplishing anything important. Boss fights were fun, although it was easy to neuter them by trapping them around rocks. For a game jam though this was well done.

Good game! I managed it up to the second boss, with the buff bomb dude, and unfortunately the game froze. My laptop, regardless what browser, sucks with browser-based games. But I had allot of fun, was challenging. Being restricted to firing arrows horizontally was a little annoying but was still able to make progress quite easily!
Thanks for giving it a shot! Sorry your game froze, we're working on a large update for after the jam voting that should hopefully address most of the kinks. My laptop sucks too, and I was having some issues with the in-browser player. We'll export a web-player version that uses threading properly so it should be less laggy in-browser, but if you ever want to give it or some other game that doesn't perform well in-browser another try, downloading the exe tends to work better in my experience. Thanks again!
Game was fun, I loved the little android/drone guy. I wish I was able to shoot downward, the enemies were able to shoot up at me and I had to get level with them to hit them. I also cheesed the boss on a corner which crashed the game. Good effort, I'd definitely like to see more done with the little android dude.

I really like the combo of one player moving and the other buying.
I wish the 2nd player had more ways to help during combat when money is low.
The puzzles are a nice teamwork thing. But are pretty hard to pull off. they feel unforgiving.
I really enjoy being able to shop and buy items on the fly! Having to decide between saving up for more powerful armor to benefit in the long run or choosing to splurge on single-use items when needed is a great choice! I do think the movement speed is far too slow, though, and the item that DOES increase movement speed lasts for a comically short time-- much of the game is spent walking in empty halls! That and WASD + VB seems like an odd control scheme. I played this game by myself, so the weird claw grip I had to do to have access to movement, attacking and NAVI was uncomfortable. Having an extra bind to space and shift would be great so Rickard can be controlled with a single hand! I also encountered a lot of audio stuttering on the web build since it was exported without threads. If in import settings you enable threads and on itch.io enable SharedArrayBuffer support, you can get a build without audio crackling. I do love exploring, though! It's such a pleasant surprise to find the bow/sword upgrades!
Thank you very much! Glad you had a lot of fun. I agree on the controls issues, we had an option for changing them but there was some issues and we had to cut it very late. We plan to make a v1.1 release once the judging is complete for the Jam and we will definitely investigate the web export issue as you have described.
