A cute game! I liked it!

Well done! :D

This was really good!  I liked the story and mechanics.  One nitpicky thing is that  throwing the bone onto the switch meant the dog hit the bone and stopped before the switch.  Having the dog be in the same spot as the bone after eating the bone would make the puzzle a little more intuitive.  Overall great job though!

Impressive for 10 hours! The aiming felt a bit odd at first but I got used to it. Funny mechanic with the competing girl that is scared of the dog. Well done!

Thanks for checking out!

found it difficult to throw the bone on the weight activated thing without the dog catching it . I mean I guess i could've gotten separation from the dog first but that required running the dog into a wall while I'm still moving just extremely frustrating mechanics. but did fit the criteria i guess you did have an animal...you did have a projectile although your animal refused to let land where i needed it to and it did have a story.

Developer

oh you could just throw the bone from a distance. Then the dog will catch it and stop just on the switch. Thanks for checking out my game! Spoonsweet did a nice walkthrough of the game on his stream, you can check that out!

I love the hand-drawn look and the interaction between our character and Meep is great.  Meep is indeed a good boy.  I'm afraid I wasn't very good at the game, but I found it all very charming none-the-less.  Well done and actually very impressive for 10 hours.

i hope you were able to finish, if not you can check out sweetspoons live stream he did a pretty nice walkthrough!

Pretty fun concept! One of the few games I've seen where the intro text is a bit too fast :D

All in all it's pretty basic but that's understandable for the amount of time you managed to put in. It's still a pretty solid and complete game that matches the requirements :D The dog controls take some getting used to (I would often try jumping with space) but it works pretty well.

Good job!

Developer

One if the frequent problems people face while playing my games is Space not being the jump button, and one of the frequent problems i face while playing other games is Space being the jump button lol. Thanks for checking out my game!

Great game for only 10h. Meep would often not listen to me lol but that's to be expected within the time. I did a playthrough with max attraction to see what would happen and found the text funny

Developer

hehe thanks for checking out my game! I did not get time to get my game playtested and see when does little Meep not listen :(

Great work! I liked the story and I absolutely loved the art style. The platforming was sound, although the dog system and the attraction system could have used more time in the oven. Overall, I give it a B for 'Balentimes Day.' If the projectile throwing system and dog were improved that would move it up to a solid 'A' for 'Adorable.'

Developer

I absolutely agree with everything you said about the mechanics lol. Thanks a lot for checking out my game!

One thing that I think would really improve the throwing system would be if the camera would pan around slightly based on the position of the mouse. That would make it easier to throw further distances or throw toward the left side of the screen which was really tough to do in its current state.

Developer(+1)

That is a good point honestly! I will have to experiment in this!

Very impressive for only 10 hours work. You stuck to the criteria and I can't really argue with the results. Great job!

Developer

I really had to stick barely to the criteria given the time crunch, thanks for playing!

For being made in 10 hours this was pretty good. The dog felt a bit unwieldy, my main issues being having to go back and get it along with throwing a bone with them by me and it instantly disappearing. I also wished that meep, and in turn the animals and projectiles, had been used a bit more considering you only really needed it for that one button and can jump over the girls. I also think that having the camera ahead of the player was a good idea but it was a little too far ahead which made any situation in which you need to see or move back feel awkward. The story was cute and funny although I do maybe wish it made a little more sense than the girlfriend spreading treasure chests throughout the city. It was charming but it's also hard to connect with goofy stories and they should stay somewhat rooted in reality. I think this game did a good job addressing all of the different criteria, and well I don't think any of the elements it's being judged on were done phenomenally I think that they worked well together and made a complete product, so good job!

This was a fun, cute game. Made in 10 hours is pretty good. Loved the puzzles and I can really see this expanded on into something great. You got a good story, a fun projectile (much like in my game), an animal that helps you solve the puzzles, and a fun game. Good work!

Fun game especially for only doing it in 10 hours. It was actually pretty funny and wouldve been amazing with some extra puzzles. Als if you jump on platforms your dog can get stuck and stay below you, this awesome feature could create some cool puzzles.

Developer(+1)

Thats how i plan to turn the apparent bugs to features. Glad you checked out. Yes I had a lot of puzzles planned but had to cut down because of the time crunch.

PPS: Had so much fun with Pitandra XD

Thanks a lot for checking out my game and that too on stream. Your commentary was fun XD

haha lovely Pitandra time! Thanks for submitting!

Cute story! It's impressive what you made in only 10 hours. The game is a little buggy unfortunately - sometimes throwing the bone had no response. You need to press jump and follow so Meep will jump with you, but sometimes Meep won't jump no matter what. Sometimes Meep jumps but falls weirdly slowly.

Still a great game considering how little time you had. Great job!

Developer

Hey yes I should have done a better job in explaining how to control Meep better, but thanks for checking out my game! Feedback noted!

I initially was going to rate this game 0 stars, but then I read your very convincing pitch. 5 stars on everything now!

on a serious note, great game! considering the time crunch, this is really great! I think this is the most funny and wholesome story I've seen so far in the jam. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Anything greater than a zero is a win lol. I am glad my pitch brought tears to judges eyes XD. But thanks a lot for checking out!

Fun game! I love the mechanic of Pitandra being too enamored by doggo to seduct lol. genius

There are some technical issues, such as the aiming not perfectly matching the mouse (I know this sorta thing can be hard to properly align on browser), and holding the dog doesnt always work as expected. But still great overall!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for checking out the game! Yeah i had added a testing offset for aiming, will have to tweak its value. Glad you had some fun!
