How does the game fit the theme?
You have to plan out and adjust your "Game Code" accordingly to achieve a win. If you mess up, then you must take off countless hours to fix whatever mistakes were made. Thus, you must really make sure... NOTHING can go wrong!

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I made all the assets and everything myself, nothing was taken from anywhere else.

How many people worked on the game?

Took some time to get used to, but became a BLAST after that! I love the music and how accurately you recreated the Godot interface!

Glad you managed to get into the zone! Hope you loved it :D

Very unique idea. It took a little bit of time to work out what to do, but overall it's really cool. Great job!

Developer

Thank you! It eas definitely too steep of a learning curve, but hope you enjoyed afterwards!

Game looked interesting, not sure I understood how to play it! having a small tutorial would have been great but I love the premise and the visuals

Developer

Thanks for giving it a try! It was about adding the new modules to make sure the tower wasnt too op but also easnt too weak :)

Honestly, looking at the gameplay perspective alone, one of the most out of the box one in this jam.

I can definitely see the potential this game can have.

But it can get annoying at times.

You have to "balance" 3 factors using random numbers that appear one at a time, and which factor this number represents is also randomized. Feels too luck based with quite a lack of skill expression, which can be very frustrating to play when the Goddess of Luck isn't in your favor, not because you lose often, but the numbers that appear aren't what you need to complete something that's halfway done. (2/5 runs, I barely got the grey inspiration and the ones that do appear, aren't numbers that I need. Closed those runs because I got tired waiting for a random grey inspiration to appear and looking at the "Lack of Enemies" in the console)

I personally do like the game though, despite its rough edges because the concept is fun, visual is nice to look at and the song is quite boppin.

Will keep this game as one of my "time killer" when I have some spare time with nothing to do :)

Developer

Thanks for giving it a shot! I agree it definitely has too steep of a learning curve. Btw the "grey inspirations" are just default ones, they dont actually appear. Green ones for tower, red one for enemies, blue one for tower :D

I'm too dumb haha. Perhaps a video tutorial showing you. I read through the tutorial a few times and still didn't understand how to play.

Developer (1 edit)

Haha understandable, the learning curve is a bit too high. Ill not sure the itch page lets me show video embeds though

Submitted(+1)

Yeah WebGL is a nuisance in that way. You can post a YT vid though haha. But it's not that serious. I'll try again after awhile

Very interesting concept, great art, but I believe the execution could have been better, especially in terms of easing the player into the gameplay and better feedback to what the player did wrong.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for giving it a shot! Yeah, a tutorial thats more in depth was probably needed

Very cool. Frantically balancing the code gave me just as much panic as the actual game jam so I think it hits the mark!

Developer

Glad it hit the relatable feeling! Thanks for giving it a shot!

i have no clue how to get a high score nice game though

Developer

Thanks for giving it a shot! Unfortunately the score is only between a highnd low score lol, only to show if you win or lose.

An incredibly creative game with (I can only assume) amazing code to back it up. Lovely art and music to go along with the innovation of the games theme. An amazing success. A high rating on this one for sure. I wish you all the best.

Developer

Thanks for the really kind comment! Great encouragement :D

Yeah this games fire. The concept is creative and well executed. The whole package is really high quality.

Developer

Thanks for giving it a shot! Glad that you liked it

This is very creative! Loved the idea! But there were still some issues, like the game lags a bit, so i had to be very patient for some sessions.

Developer

Thanks for giving it a try! Yea the browser version has one minor lag spike at the very start but hopefully after that everything is smooth

I was confused of how it work at first, i have tried like 5 minutes but i still haven't figure it out how to proceed. however the idea is really creative and looks promising maybe it's just me who is skill issue

Developer

Dont worry it definitely had a bit of a learning curve at the start :), you can open up the inspiration menu and inside there will be modules like [1X] and inside the code editor there will be like [P] so basically you just hold down 1 and X then you can let go or continue holding to press P

This might be the most creative jam game I've rated so far AND it's a pleasure to look at. Well done!!

Developer(+1)

Awesome to hear that! Thanks for trying it out
