This was a fascinating take on an interactive exhibit! The art style fit incredibly well, and the amount of writing was perfect for me. There's a lot to learn, and a lot of fun notes. (There's also some to potentially get tricked from by Yukari, I imagine. ^.^;)

I can tell that the team put a lot of thought and research into this one. Well done!

Thank you for your kind comment. Yes, you gotta watch out! Haha.

You know how when you go to the museum on a field trip and like it's cool but most of the exhibits are just plaques with info on them - this is that ONE exhibit that's like really interactive and everyone crowds around to get a turn.

Developer

Thank you! I'm happy it gave off that feeling.

One of my favorites of the jam in terms of fitting the theme for sure, and I learned things!

Thanks! I'm glad it was educational after all.

Really loved the art so much in this one.

Developer

Thank you! I really enjoyed drawing and coloring in that style.

I came for the Yukarilotl, stayed for the music. I don't know how these numbers came to be, but hell, I trust you - er - Yukari. Really fun experience, but I'm still flunking out of Keine's class.

Developer(+1)

Trusting Yukari to tell the truth would be a pretty surefire way to fail your classes.

Educative, artistic and very impressive way to present Gensokyo, way to go.

Muchas gracias.

Unironically my favorite game in the whole jam, I don't know why, it just is.

Developer

Haha thank you, glad you liked it.

I think it's a game concept I've never thought of before. I like the way you can convey your imagination and interpretation of Gensokyo to others through simulations. Thank you for giving me new insight into games.

Developer

Thank you so much!

Yellows rating corner!

First of all a great concept!

using the scale of everything or outside of gensokyo to be used as a method of teaching for keine is neat in itself. and with yukaris flavor text to each scale comparission you cant help but smile. the lines feel very in character!

the visuals are insanely well done, the old paint style of japanese scrolls is just perfect for this and gives it even more the feeling of immersion.

as for the gameplay, in the end its just a picture with a slider to scroll in or out. while that is plenty enough to get the game across, it also makes it hard to give a proper rating to any gameplay.

the music is calm and makes reading the neat texts and admiring the artworks feel much more relaxing and not distracting.

Good Game!!

total Rating 4/5 happy Yellows!

Developer

Thank you for your thorough review, Yellow! It makes me smile, it is much appreciated.

awesome and thorough little game, i was having fun discovering each entry! i think it's worth it to look through the entire thing for sure :)

Developer

Thanks! I'm happy you had fun exploring, mission accomplished!

I like the illustrations throughout the game.

Developer

Thank you, fellow bread enjoyer. Personally I really like the bold strokes of sumi-e and other traditional Japanese artwork.

Excellent concept executed beautifully. It's impressive how many entries the team was able to fit in just one week.

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it and like I mentioned in the server I'm glad you know the original haha. Fortunately we managed to include pretty much everything we wanted to.
