How does the game fit the theme?
Trent, a Vase collecter, is hanging with a friend who invites an unexpected vase hating guest. Nothing can go wrong, right?

i hodgepodged this code together myself from tutorials and some knowledge and lots and lots of online searches .
all assets and music were created by me.

Very funny game. I suggests adding a score, I wanted to see how much I destroyed when it ended. A leaderboard would be great too!
I found controls are hard, the jumping especially is a bit too low for my taste, but maybe that's intentional.
A fun little game where you play as the most dastardly villain in history, Mr. Beef!
Simple yet satisfying game, I mean who doesn't dream of destroying expensive vases?
The visuals are great, the sounds effect and the music fits the evil nature of Mr. Beef.
Overall this is an amazing game, and an extra congratulation for making your first ever game!

I feel you hit the appropriate features to time available ratio. A lot of developers seem to struggle with this (myself included)
If you’re serious you should keep at the short sprints (1 - 2 week long gamejams tops).

I think i may revamp this game a bit and maybe check out another week long jam at some point, this was a ton of fun to make and there are still a TON of feature i have for it but i opted for complete rather than what if.

Firstly good job on your first entry!
And I really like it, it is cool, quite juicy
The movement could be slightly adjusted, but it is still very good.
Fun thing to add would be pushing things off something, so they would break on the floor >:3

dude! pushing the vases off the platform was the original idea, i was having issues with colliders that i ran out of time to fix. I think if i stick with this game, there will be a lot more feature but still trying to keep with the classic style.

I don't know how well I did, but this is my score after 5 tries. Fun to destroy all vases!

very simple but super satisfying
Very simple, but very fun. The dialogue made me laugh.
This really shows how you can take a really simple concept and make it into a great satisfying polished game. I got 41 seconds and it was really satisfying just being the one breaking things the vase sound as well as the particle effects were great as well as the pixel art, one thing I would recommend is if you're repeating a sound effect, either make it feel like a loop or only play it once , (wait for it to finish) then continue Overall a big favorite of mine from this jam.

I found the screenshake a little much in places, but i'm guessing that's just me.
Overall enjoyed my time with it, great work!
nope not just you. lol my wife also does not like it. Im mixed. I may add a camera shake slider and let the player determine the shake.

thanks! I’ve been studying game design and such for the past year. Just never actually sat down to make something to completion until this.
Nice Game, I hope there's a harder level than this,
And maybe some obstacle like ice, etc
