This is a very good-looking game! The graphics are super nice and are quite consistent throughout the game! The story is nice too, it really gives a nice backstory to the game, adding a bit of flavour. The gameplay is quite polished too, with systems that fortells where the new enemies, walls and laser spawn. That alone deserves some kudos!

For some criticism, I'd say the game doesn't really increase difficulty the further you play. I played till around 4 minutes in, and I don't see how different it is compared to the first 2 minutes. It makes the game stale when you play longer and it gets quite repetitive afterwards. I'd also say the gameplay doesn't feel connected to the theme. Probably some more backstory to explain what the red and green cubes are plus some graphical cues should be enough.

Anyway, this is a well well-made an polished game! Well done!

Thank you for your feedback and kind words! I can see, now in hindsight, that the difficulty ramping is a bit too slow. As for the game not fitting your theme, that could absolutely have been done better.

Nice game and interesting ideas for enemies! I would suggest that you add some sort of skip buttons or something to click to skip the start dialogues and that you add pause menu. Nice game!

Developer

Thank you, and fair point!

A visually pleasing game! Love all the effects and the controls are also seriously smooth. Very fun game. Only that the text audio at the beginning is very loud and mildly painful, but besides that the game is awesome!

Developer

Thank you! And, I have found that the text audio in the beginning is unintentionally quite loud.

Very well done game! Simple but does what it mean to do in a very enjoyable way.

How did you implement a highscore system?

Thanks for your kind words!

I used a tool called Leaderboard Creator by Danial Jumagaliyev (https://danqzq.itch.io/leaderboard-creator). It's aimed at Unity, but I believe it can be implemented for other game engines too. Here's a tutorial on setting up the leaderboard by the developer:

Neat! thanks for the info! I'll look towards implementing that in future projects if i manage to port to Godot.
