nice
I was very impressed with the puzzles that this game formula allows for! There are a lot of very interesting levels built in as well.
There were only some minor issues overall, although one of the most notable was Time Mode behaving unexpectedly and freezing up the controls.
Otherwise, the music was nice and the game overall played really well! Also, the cross-game mechanic sounds exciting. *u*
Oh no I didn't realize time mode was bugged in the post jam version. It works fine in the jam version but something apparently broke it. Apologies for that!
Thanks for playing!
I like the concept of this one a whole bunch - It's always having synergies in these types of games, having each character have an ability and seeing it interact with others is a lot of fun. That being said, my biggest gripe with the game is that it feels very much one-note in terms of the solution and getting to it. I feel like I'm sitting here spending way more time thinking about the game and the actions I could potentially take instead of playing it and experimenting, especially on the later stages when there are SO many plates to spin. Like it feels like it was designed by coming up with the answer first and then adding and removing parts over and over again until it becomes very long and convoluted and thus a "tricky" problem and I just feel that it leaves very little room for experimentation.
Awesome idea and fits well with the jam, I just wish it was a bit more dynamic and had more avenues to approach the issues from.
Nothing like a nice session of wholesome condemning people to their appropriate layer of hell. The kind of puzzle presented here makes me feel big-brained every time I advance through a level.
...
Wait does Flandre just send souls to heaven for free-
Quite an interesting idea, math progression is kinda nice, and abilities make this even more interesting, it would be hard even with calculator in hand.
The three plates challenge was very hard to achieve, games that make you think are quite interesting and Eiki eyes reminded me of Lucky Star.
Balancing characters with the addition of effects is very interesting. But in general I agree with Worm38. I think the game could use a slower progression to introduce each character more gradually. I can imagine a series of levels where you only have to deal with basic characters + one character with effects, so you can get used to them. In addition I think some of the effects were pretty complex, and some levels had too many characters...
I think some useful mechanics could be displaying the total weight of remaining characters (the ones you haven't placed), and an undo button.
But anyway! I'm having fun with the game. The art is really cute. I like time mode because you can play it more with intuition.
This is a weird one difficulty-wise.
Finishing the levels was pretty difficult, but not exceedingly so, but at the same time, there's so much complexity in the characters that the only kind of reasoning I was capable of to try and find a solution on all but the simpler levels was about parity, and then of course, I could simulate a potential solution in my head, but I may as well just try it out in game as it's faster.
So, while I solved all the levels, for the most part, it felt like I just stumbled on the solution rather than deduced it.
I loved it, it's even better than I thought it would be, but it becomes very difficult in the last levels, I feel like I had to think too much to solve the puzzles.
Other than that, I didn't feel it was unfair and I think it's legitimately fun.
i designed the last 2 levels at like 3 am right before the deadline ended so that's probably why haha.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
this is giving me major professor Layton mini game vibes. the art is SUPER cute and I feel that there's a lot of depth to the balancing puzzle with all the different characters. yay!
Hey everyone! The hotfix version of this game contains a fix for the transfer system to my game. If you want to use the transfer system, download the hotfix version.
