This is a clean, tight, experience. I love the misdirection in the two ways to "play" the game.

Damn, this is for sure the most addictive game from this game jam, brought me straight back to cookie clicker!

once you have enough clones, I just can't let it go ^^', congratulations!

I clicked the button

Fun game. Cool upgrades.

All I could really ask for is a bit more juice on the kills. Some cool explosion or something maybe? (Or maybe that's in an upgrade I didn't get to yet.)

Update: It gets much easier after buying clones. I enjoyed the OP feeling of melting faces while I watched.

Really fun game, I ended up playing it for much longer than I expected! I found the game design very elegant: simple but engaging concept, and just the right number of upgrades to make it very interesting without overwhelming the player. Congrats!!

If you decide to keep working on the game, I'd love to play an extended version with more types of enemies and maybe some crazier upgrades! :D

Fun little game, upgrades definitely make things really cool but after you've gotten a good few it becomes pretty easy. Good job!

What a simple but addictive idea !

I liked it that was really fun to play that. Juiced this gameplay with some visual effects and sfx can be really good for future improvements !

I liked it!

liked the button hold, so nothing can go wrong, UNLESS YOU RELEASE THE BUTTON YOU FOOL!!

Developer

Eyyyy, thank for playing my game!!!
Did you get the chance to buy all the upgrades? like clones and skills?

Submitted

I didn't end up buying all the upgrades, but I most definitely bought some of them, like shields and damage. Liked it to! :)

Developer

Have you tried the clones? They are like super Overpowered, and I'm really glad you let go of the button XD

Wow our games really ARE pretty similar haha XD

Nice game ^_^ it's a bit laggy for me though somehow? (edit: I'll download it and give it an other spin soon ^_^)

Okay, first I did a playthrough and won in about 5 minutes. This is because I do not find it difficult to hold down left click for 5 minutes.

Then I actually played the game. Early game is hard, but it only gets exponentially easier as you quickly start stockpiling clones. I found that the radius had no limit, which in combination with high stun duration and a bunch of clones, leads to complete invincibility as any time an enemy is hit, the entire map is stunned for a very long time and all the other clones start clicking and reapplying the mapwide stun. Since enemies keep spawning, there will never be a point where there are no enemies to click and continuously proc the stun. Judging by the screenshots, you seem to be aware of this.

The circle for clicking is a PNG, which leads to it getting blurrier as it grows. I’d switch it for an SVG which doesn’t have that problem.

There’s nothing much to say about the visuals, though the damage overlay on the button flips itself when pressed.

It was a fun game, I gave a 5 on enjoyment.

This was cleverly done, the way the game is introduced made be curious about what could happened if a let it go before the time. It look polish as well. I wish there was a motive for the player to let it go the button then just waiting for the timer got down. Maybe, the button could start moving slightly. Well done for the entry

Hi, just curious if you have let go of the button?

The story is that the button is a gatekeeper from the spawning enemies, so it shouldnt be let go.

If you do let go, you need to protect the button, gain points, and buy upgrades.

There should be 3 ending: Nothing went wrong, doomed humanity, and Redemption.

Developer

but i do agree, that i needed to add more distraction to tempt player to let go of the button.

Fantastic! Polished game which was pretty addicting. You took a simple theme, clicker game, but advanced to the next level. I enjoyed the simple mechanic. It was interesting to jump from enemies to button and figure the best way to play the game. Very well made!

super fun game!  It's a shame the player can ignore all the cool gameplay by just holding the button for 5 minutes LOL  but maybe that's the message?  What is the moral of this story you guys?

cool game, but I guess I have to get a brick on my mouse to get the happy ending lol

P.S. This is my clone account since my main account (used to submit the game) is restricted from commenting. You guys can check out my game here, thanks /jam/brackeys-13/rate/3349422

Super fun game! I like the incremental upgrades and it's fun watching the game play itself once you get super overpowered. The rock of wisdom is such a funny upgrade. I had a great time holding down the button for 5 minutes so I could get the true ending. Great work!

cool game , good idea

little laggy on the browser but it isn't a huge problem

nothing else to say just a good game

Very cool game! Loved it

Loved it so much! It's so much fun and it's a cool take on the theme. At the first plays I didn't understand well how to play, so that's the only suggestion I have - making it clearer.

Keep it up!

I havent beaten it.. yet

But I have another jam to work on, so Ill take a break for now

But seriously, The game is reallly fun!

The shop icon can use more visibility xD

The sound effects were also amazing, nice job with those

The visuals, simple yet looked good!

I love the different skills you can buy, the clone is kinda chaotic but u get used to it pretty soon.

The difficulty isnt THAT hard (even though I was not able to beat it) but it isnt too easy either. The lag in browser version increases the fun xD

But in all the game is really good, Ig all it needs is some Quality of life changes. Otherwise you did an amazing job

Hope to see more of your work!!  :D
