A fantastic twist on snake. Really, really good. Very easy to get into, very easy to learn, very easy to get killed and start again hoping to do better. I really like how the more you grow - the harder you crash when you get damaged and lose part of yourself. Gives you that nice adrenaline jolt.

A bit of feedback - little dudes seem to be different from each other - some are faster, some take more than 1 hit. Maybe they could be distinguished by shape/color? Also - they blend a bit with the ground dots, which is a tiny bit unpleasant. And I would like to see how much damage my body parts have - maybe by fading the color of the body node?

Those are very minor complaints, the game is already great, ESPECIALLY for a 24hr game. Good job!

thanks! i’m glad you enjoyed it.

i have tried to incorporate the feedback from the stream into the new build so hopefully i got it mostly solved.

i may look into the different enemies appearances though. while i made them all 1 hp now, they do still move at random speeds.

This is great. Easy to pick up and really fun to play.

Sometimes the game would freeze for a second or two upon killing an enemy. Maybe that's just because I was playing in my browser.

As you get larger, the camera zooms out, which is nice. But if you take damage and lose part of your body, the camera doesn't zoom back in. This means it'll be REALLY zoomed out once you start getting larger again.

Very well done. Good job with this.

thanks! glad you enjoyed it.

for the freezing, it's something to do with the godot particles, though it's also probably cause i just realized recently i used the gpu one. i'll put up a hopefully quick fix to see if that changes things.

good point on the camera, i'll see how to balance it. currently the only basis for the zoom is the current difficulty so that you could see the oncoming waves from afar.

i'm completely astonished that you made it in 24 hours.
great concept, good execution, FUN.
the main issue right now it that the enemies don't really pop up enough compared to the white stars and white bullets. personally i would make the worm blue and the enemies red, or something like that.

thanks! yeah i was initially gonna sit the dd out until i had a better demo. im glad you had fun with it.

i think adding an extra color makes the palette lose simplicity, but you raised a good point. i will find a way to improve on the visibility on the next update.
