This is really fun! I like the color palette and the sprites , the concept is cool and I hope the restart button will be fixed in the future. I love the animations, the heart one in particular is stunning. The gameplay has the just amount of challenge and it feels rewarding after you learn how to use the ray. Great job!

Developer (1 edit)

Restart already fixed.

Thanks! Good to know the heart look cool 😊

I loved it! The only issue is the restart is not working so I have to refresh de page. Really liked the game

Developer

Yeah, I wrote about it on the page

Had a lot of fun with it, really missed out on the sound effects. I reviewed your game on a video.

Developer(+1)

I really sinned about not adding sound effects, but I actually need to study about that better, if the game had sound effects or sound in general, believe me, it wouldn’t be good

Wow. That’s a type of review I wasn’t waiting for, thanks!

We both, my wife and I had some feedback for you I can type here. The game felt really nice and polished with a few issues. The main issue was that fall damage feels annoying rather than fun, it was a suggestion, perhaps spikes or death traps instead of just fall damage. The art was fantastic, the gameplay feels great and punchy, and the effect for getting the extra heart is my absolute favorite thing from this game jam so far and I’ve rated about 20 games. It still stays with me. I speak highly in the video, but you can have this text review as well!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, I’ll try to think better about those things.

I really did put some effort on the heart, I made it inspired by the b-side hearts from celeste

I will 100% check your video when its out! I’m also planning to make one about the development process of the game 😁

Awesome downwell clone
I like the staff mechanics more than footguns

Developer (1 edit)

Now straight up saying it is a clone hurts

Still, thanks then

Submitted(+1)

I meant that as a compliment! Downwell is a nice game, and your take on it with more flexible movement style feels and plays really cool!

Developer

Oh well 😅

Didn’t interpret it better, sorry 🤣

Again, I glad that you liked it 😊

Amazing Game! Love the art, the idea, the execution. I'd have loved to see a different way of regenerating energy instead of only by killing enemies.

Good job!

Developer

Thanks dude 😁

I would love if you gave me ideas for that, cuz I don’t really know how I would do it

You could either go with just regenerating it over time so the player has to juggle with their timing, or maybe you could also add that going deeper/falling regenerates some energy as well. So that as long as you progress you wouldn't go out of energy but once you start fighting, you have to manage it more closely.

Another approach could be to create collectibles that regenerate portions of the energy. That could also serve as a motivation for the player to try and reach difficult places in the level

I love the concept, W art, W game, maybe polish, maybe check out my game?

Developer(+1)

I invested on those, it’s what gives the more attention y’know

No problem! I will check everyone’s games today

Super cool concept and execution! I think you could add another level of polish with sound that could bump up your game even from where it is now. I love the art style and feel of the game too, it is very clean. It was definitely difficult figuring out how things worked at first too. Nice job overall!

Developer(+1)

I can’t thank you guys enough! 🥹

That’s my guy, giving all the feedback I need muahahahahaha!

Good to note that last part 📝
