What inspired your game?
Inspired by the 'Opposites Attract' theme, we thought about foods that taste very different but complement each other, like salted caramel. In our game, these 'opposite' foods are literally attracted to each other.
How did you incorporate the 'girly' theme into your game?
Inspired by dating sims, we have made a visual novel *about* romance, a popular genre in girly media. We've also tried to make our art super cute and used a pastel aesthetic.

Dr pineapple is so cool
Such a fun game! The script was fantastic and every pun really well done! The visual presentation also fantastic, a very coherent vision. The first case kinda struck a bit too close to home but a sign of excellent understanding on the writing. Also loved the plot twist at the end!
(Unrelated but the implications of the fruit bowl at the office are... interesting haha)
THE DIALOGUEEEEEEE OMGGGG, we were legitimately laughing out loud at each joke.. especially the PUNS! And the reveal of the final consultation was just PERFECT. LOVED IT.
Also, besides the jokes, a lot of the things the characters are written really realistically. Awesome submission, y'all really cooked on this one :)
Great narrative design. The dialogues and every joke are perfect. Though I'm not sure if I would get a consultation with him haha
I literally laughed out loud a few times - the dialogue could not have been better in my opinion. It was a perfect fit for the tone. I was pretty invested into the relationships!
I feel like this could be the start of a really excellent game idea.

Dude I love this so much, genuinely made me laugh out loud. I'm a sucker for puns and this was full of them. My only wish is that there were more couples.
Such a fun game, it should totally be a cartoon, with each episode having a different couple, and the pineapple always 'helping' them. That would be so funny! The game is amazing, I can't believe you made it in just 4 days. Congrats, it's genius!
The food puns were full of wit & a delight to read ("Take this with a pinch of me" was my favorite). The "bad responses" from Dr. Pineapple gave me a great laugh even if I felt too bad to go down those dialogue trees! I GASPED when Pizza showed up on screen, loved that Dr. Pineapple's last Chapter was revolved around his relationship!
Great job with this! I'd get a sticker of Dr. Pineapple smiling, he looks so sweet :)

Wow, that was awesome. Now I know what the bar for game jams really is, holy cow! I was immediately immersed, and the puns hit just the right spot. The direct connection to the theme is a big bonus.
For any comedic piece, I think the ultimate standard is "would I share this comedic material with my friends?" And for Food Therapist, this is a solid yes. Yes definitely! Can't wait to hear their reactions! Loving the comments here ahaha.

I loved this game! And as a visual novel fan myself, I loved it more either. I really liked the dynamics of the couples. My favorite one was Ketchup and Mayo, because I really liked to see a non-monogamous and a monogamous character as a couple. I also loved the final, it made me laugh so hard.
Anyway, it's a great work!
What a fantastic story! The writing is so funny, and the serious moments felt very real-- especially when the music purposely cut out for an added effect. Not only do the characters feel like real people with real problems, Dr. Pineapple M.D. truly is a great therapist (with the right options lol). Hopefully all of Dr. Pineapple M.D.'s food related puns will attract his opposite so he too can one day have a happy ending!
