That was fun. I got stuck on 3rd level so I broke the loop by quitting. Just kidding lol. I like how the trampoline can send Mr. Ragman to heaven, it adds up to humor.
I think the panels are too bouncy. I tried placing panel on top of trampoline with small gap between them, and it bounce like a balloon, so floaty.
Nevertheless, it is a good entry. Good work.
This is a really fun game concept! I love games that use ragdoll physics because they always surprise us with the unpredictable situations that can happen during gameplay—and your game definitely delivers on that.
I think the difficulty curve increases too abruptly. Even for a short game with just three levels, I believe it could be smoothed out a bit to help players feel more prepared for the next challenge.
The way you designed each level is great! You really have to think carefully about when and how to use each element. It’s a slightly complex process, but not impossible, making the game engaging while still being challenging.
A simple but effective improvement for the level selection menu would be to add a more contrasting color when hovering over an option. This would make it clearer when a player is about to select a level and take an action (in this case, choosing which stage to play).
Since the music is simple and doesn’t have much variation, it wouldn’t be a problem if it played continuously—especially considering how short the game is. Restarting the music at every level might create a slightly strange sensation, and some players who are sensitive to repetitive sounds might find it a bit off-putting. (This didn’t bother me personally, but it’s just a suggestion for future games or even for this one if you plan to expand it.)
The theme is interesting, but it could be even more noticeable in the gameplay. For example, instead of controlling the character directly, the player could be placing obstacles to prevent its death while it moves along a predetermined path. This might sound similar to the current design, but having the character constantly moving forward would enhance the feeling of being stuck in a loop, with the player’s goal being to "break" that cycle of death. Maybe this is a crazy idea, but I hope it makes sense to you too! Haha.
I really enjoyed the sound effect when the character dies—I have to admit, I found the scream pretty funny! One thing I noticed (and I hope it’s intentional, not a bug) is that there’s no blood, which keeps the game lighthearted and fun. If that was your goal, great job!
Overall, it’s a really fun game with solid physics. Congrats on the project, and I wish you the best of luck in the jam!
This was a fun idea!
The concept was enjoyable and looked quite amusing while playing. I do think the controls could use a bit more polish—for example, it would be great if you could still move objects after placing them. Right now, a misplaced item meant I had to restart the level.
The theme was a bit hard to spot. The cheerful music fit the mood nicely, although it did stop abruptly during the levels.
Overall, this is a solid foundation for a fun game with room to expand through more levels and mechanics. Definitely something worth building on! 🧩🎮👍 Keep it up!
The game was fun and simple, but i found a bug by accident on the third lvl, if you put an jump booster on your feet you just jump to the flag and win, overall, the game was funny despite the design being simple.
Overall, the game is very fun and I think you know that there's a lot of room for improvement to make the player experience a more immersive gameplay. There will for sure be players who will get stuck figuring out the puzzle so giving a hint would be helpful. Also when the player fails the level, a moment that signals defeat/loop repeat would be a nice touch. I don't see how it fits the theme other than of course repeating the level if you fail. Nice work otherwise and keep improving it.
The third level definitely gives a sense of almost got it but so far away. I felt like I had the right ideas, but they never panned out. Part of the issue was how long it takes for it to play out. Forget to put something down? Well got to reset and do it again. Maybe saving the last configuration, then letting the player move objects around could help ease that. I see you used Godot 4.3, the music restarting constantly was a bit annoying. Might I suggest making a MusicPlayer node and running it in the Autoload so the music can run independently from the scenes themselves.
Intresting game, not realy sure how it fits in the theme but was a fun little puzzler. I can imagine you can extend this to many more levels. Solid entry to the jam
This reminds me of the Flash games I used to play a while ago! The main thing I feel is missing is the ability to move objects after placing them. Sometimes, I just wanted to make a tiny adjustment after failing a level, but I had to restart everything. It’s not a big deal since the game is short and not too difficult, but it would be a nice addition. :)
I somehow managed to win and lose at the same time on the second level (both panels opened). The third level is quite a difficulty spike, but overall, I had fun!
This is a really fun and goofy game! I like the player death sound effects, and appreciate the detailed instructions - I often found myself struggling to understand how to play on some other games. While neither the art and gameplay are too complicated and the overall presentation isn't the most polished, I think this game accomplishes exactly what it was made for, and I had a lot of fun with it!
Game is fine, very good for a first game! maybe next time jam try to fit your game to the jam's theme, focus a bit more on polishing, and make the game objective clearer! keep up the good work ;)
Nice little game! Consider using original text styles to improve the overall game design. Also, keep in mind that the music restarts every time the level resets. Since you're using Godot, you might want to implement a global music manager to fix this.
I didn’t quite get the point of the trampoline - why is it flying? xD The game itself is a really nice puzzle, but the mechanics feel quite complex, and the difficulty spikes suddenly. It somewhat fits the theme since you have to repeat levels over and over if you don’t reach the goal. However, it doesn’t quite feel like you’re actually 'breaking the loop.' Still, a solid game with a lot of potential!
This is the first game I played in this jam!
Let's start with this- I really had fun with this! The first two levels were pretty straightforward, but the last one took some experimenting (I tried to place the jump pad before the first platform). Over all- really cool gameplay, and original idea!
Oh! I know what it reminded me of! There was this game called Lemmings in the early 90's! I liked it too!
I never complain about the length of jam games- after all the time is very limited, but this one really left me wanting more!
What could be improved is the presentation. Graphics were simple, but clear, which is a good thing (i never needed to wonder "what is this thing", but lacked... character? Same goes for sound- the music fit the game, which was good, but some more sound effects would go a long way.
My advice is- try to find someone who's good at graphics, and work with them on jam games! I mean, I do that :)
Over all- I really enjoyed this game! Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for the feedback! It means a lot to me.
