About the track
Since we have the rule that concurrent jams can share material this has WNCJ10 from emscottish (the thunderstorm) scrambled and instruments added. It's just supposed to be a nice ambient piece one would listen to with the rain pounding on the roof in a forest.

Nice! I like the jazzy style!

I was clearly not expecting that at all.
I like it, but I struggle to get on with the kind of sharpy synth sound used for the melodies.
Sometimes, I was feeling too much a kind of instability. It often sounded improvised and it was a bit confusing here and there.

Other than that, that's a really nice approach, pretty different that all I've heard so far, that's interesting.

Thank you for sharing.

I -kind- of use the jam assignments just to jump over 'what to do next' hurdles outside Itch in the general lineup out in the wider Distrokid-spit-out universe.

Which rankles the folks more centered on Itch that are disciplined chiptune artists trying to make game-adjacent stuff that will get picked up by programmers.

Sometimes I strike gold but in RL i juggle this side activity with a 9-5 job so more often, not-strike-gold :)

I don't mind it so long as 3/4 of the time my creativity sub-score is higher than the other ones.  And it -usually- is.

Glad you gave my thing a try.

I think the jazzy style in which you wrote this feels like a conversation occurring between the synth lead and the piano/strings that interplay with each other in a really unique way. As your description prompted, while listening I imagined sitting in a cozy log cabin club/tavern watching the rain out the window. This is an interesting take on the theme since many of the other entries seem to have spun the theme from a more whimsical, ancient, or folky way to represent being alone immersed in a forest. In any case, good work and thank you for sharing!

Unexpected tunes that work really well!

Yeah pretty consistently my creativity stat in these jams anyway towers above my other ones :)

And if at least I do some thought-provoking I mostly achieve my goal.

Chasing only the normies is kind of a forlorn thing anyway.  Fickle rewards. (The puzzle of our current times).

Glad you had fun!
