I think the jazzy style in which you wrote this feels like a conversation occurring between the synth lead and the piano/strings that interplay with each other in a really unique way. As your description prompted, while listening I imagined sitting in a cozy log cabin club/tavern watching the rain out the window. This is an interesting take on the theme since many of the other entries seem to have spun the theme from a more whimsical, ancient, or folky way to represent being alone immersed in a forest.
