Big fan of the UI and tutorial. The game was very fun to play, I'm always about some TD.

I really like the classic TD approach of building your own paths and this implementation is quite fun to play. Fits the theme well. Great entry!

Thank you! Thanks for playing!

I enjoyed playing this! I might have run into a bug where the waves kept going and I didn’t get a chance to choose when to start it. Challenging and enjoyable though! I would have liked more tooltips I think. From the view of clicking on the plants I didn’t know what the icons meant, but that could come from more playing. And more SFX. Maybe could do a different sound per plant when you select it? Something to help differentiate.

Developer

Thanks! So the automatic waves after the initial start are by design, I probably should have made it clearer that was going to happen though. After selecting a plant you should be able to hover those icons and  get a little tool tip, though I ran out of time to implement a solution for mobile for this. I really like the idea of having a unique sound when selecting each plant, I'll definitely implement that if I take this further. Thanks for all the feedback and thanks for playing!

Okay, I love that the outsiders are naked with a fig leaf! Perfect choice of music. Great tutorial. Lovely art direction. Really just perfect execution for a game jam.

This is really wonderful. I also like that you support a number of different control schemes. Worked great on my trackpad.

Top notch work!

Developer

High praise! Thank you so much for your kind words and your time!

Fun game!  I think this could be developed into something bigger if you want to stick with it.  Nice work!

Great job, music is top notch, congrats!

Thanks! Full credit to "HitCtrl" on OpenGameArt who created some lovely music that really captured the feel I was going for, I was very fortunate to have found it!

Nice job, like the "Plants vs Zombie" concept :)

Developer

Thanks! Definitely one of my inspirations for this project 🙂

So polished, and the fact you made it on SteamDeck - wow! Personally I don't like TD, but this one is actually fun. On the first attempt I didn't realised that I can upgrade plants, and lost :)

Developer

Thank you so much! The steam deck is an impressive little piece of tech! As a long time TD fan I'm glad to have converted you 🤪 I do regret not giving the "tutorial" more time, as it was a bit busy/overwhelming to a new player.

I really liked this game, has a good balance of difficulty/strategy. Overall very well thought out, and works well.

Thanks! I'm really happy you enjoyed the balance, that was one of my biggest challenges/learning experiences with this!.

Game loop is really tight and the quality of live features are pretty nice.
