I loved the idea of a mini ecosystem involving magical creatures.

At first I didn't understand the decision between mixing 3D and 2D, but I think it worked well to rotate the camera and be able to see all the spaces in the scene.

In a full version, I would love to have plants with synergy between them, encouraging the player to mix them in creative ways.

I found the sound of the rain a little out of place, it didn't bother me, but perhaps a forest sound (just leaves, wind and small animals) would fit better.

Congratulations on the entry, I really liked it!

Edit: I wish I could post a screenshot of my gnomes home here, but seems like itch blocks it ☹

Thank you for the detailed comments! We went back and forth on the 2d/3d things and honestly our artist made everything in 2d and then started making things in 3d 😆. Not completely efficient but was nice to be able to see what we liked and didn’t about the differences.
I agree we need more player choices and mixing plants is  one. We thought about making new species, or having different combinations attract different wildlife that could visit and the gnomes could interact with. This is our first idea that really feels very extensible and scope kept getting thought about and then needing to be cut.

For the screenshot I noticed Itch has a mb limit to what you can upload. I think it might be 3mb, maybe you can post a lower resolution image?
