Awesome presentation, legit horror experience and great vibe. Main constructive feedback is that the map was difficult to use!
I really love the whole vibe of this game. Very green game. I’m also a sucker for the audio :)
I particularly love the shaking and line-fuzzing when you’re near enemies or take damage but it made the map pretty impossible to use. I wish I had some sort of pause or stop button so that i could take a moment to read the map without it going crazy, maybe that’s intentional?
It took me a second to figure out what i was doing. I don’t really understand the hearts, do they just stay there after you use them?
Hey thanks for playing! The lack of pause is indeed intentional, doom-style, however I admit the rendering technique does make the map very difficult to read under time pressure. The hearts heal you, but if you're not damaged (indicated by the lines getting shaky) then they do nothing.
This is really something else. I'd almost want to get an oscilloscope to play it on. The sounds are actually quite nice in a sort of post-modern noise ambient kind of way but I'm a sucker for extreme audio like that.
What a perfect name. Did you get it working on an oscilloscope? Would love to see a video. I actually like the sound as a sort of score. The vibe is amazing and the wiggle does have that horror vibe. Gives me some ideas. :D
I liked the hearts but didn't like how it felt impossible to escape monsters sometimes. Possibly it's because of the controls. I kept getting stuck left or right and couldn't turn around. Maybe keyboard would work better or maybe it's just a bug?
Fascinating vector graphics. My dad played a lot of Atari's Tempest back in the 80s. I will have to show him this.
definitely mind blown. kudos for pulling it off
This is fascinating. Kinda wish I had an oscilloscope to test it out :)
How on earth does anyone pull this off!? thats so cool!
Mind-bogglingly cool rendering style. When I heard it come out of speakers I laughed out loud. So delightful, and the way the complexity of the screen turns into sound … chef’s kiss. Especially how proximate enemies fuzz your screen and your audio in a deterministic manner. Really incredible aesthetic work here.
Truly an original concept. I have never seen a game with that sort of reality-distortion effect before, and this one was especially well-done. There are so many possibilities with this sort of vector graphics, and this explored one I had never seen. Great work.
Wow this is insanely weird and cool. Sadly it made me a bit sick to play so I couldn't play it for long, but it is a cool idea.
That was... weird, and cool, and creepy. Very well done!
I ended up playing with my headphones on, that added to the surrealism of the experience.
Interesting idea! I was getting some Backrooms vibes (which makes me now want to make a Backrooms rogue-like). There's problems with the mouse controls, where basically I could not turn because my mouse hit the edge of the monitor. That made the game a little difficult to play. I almost won one game, but was overwhelmed by enemies. But I like this.
